Day 322 - 43 Days to Go

Tuesday was as Tuesday is.
Great plans, but nothing really got done.
Work, soccer, soccer work - same ol' same ol'
No great happenings, no off the wall moments.
Did learn I am taking the son to Kelowna for his soccer tournament. Bill's got stuff for work that can't wait.
So any plans for the weekend (which was to do nothing) have been put on hold.
I really got to get a few things done tomorrow.

BODY: 12,900 steps

MIND: Louise Hay "I love life."

Day 321 - 44 Days to Go

My sincerest apologies. I was a goof yesterday and didn't wear a hat while out in the sun from 3:30 til 10:00 (and the sun was out for most of that)\
Sunday was a great day. We went for dim sum in the morning for Ben's birthday. The daughter had to work but her friend from Ontario joined the rest of the family.
In the afternoon Bill and I went to Lilith (formerly know as Lilith Fair.) It was great. Let me rephrase that - the music was great, the actual function was very disorganized. But the beautiful weather and wonderful music overshadowed any negatives. My favorite was Sugarland, than Cheryl Crow and finally Sarah McLaughin. He music was a little slow for me at the end, but that was probably better for my throbbing head anyway.

So this morning got up and started on my quest to get caught up on things. Had to interrupt to head to my doctor's appointment. This was the last time I am going to see Dr. Yee. Now I only see him once a year to get my prescription renewed anyway, but he was the best doctor ever. He got me through a ver difficult time; and it wasn't long before I was in tears trying to explain to him how much I appreciated everything he did. So between the wine and hugs I gave him, I think he got the message. I tried to explain how I was sad and happy at the same time. I'll save his quote for my MIND message. So left the office with my prescrition in hand (he didn' t like my suggestion of giving me 5 years worth so I wouldn't have to bother another doctor)

Came home; piddled around and then it was off to APEX. Dropped the son off and I headed to market mall for a few things. The son and I stopped to pick up supper on the way home.

Bill just walked into the house from golf; the son and his girlfriend are watching a movie on my TV upstairs; the daughter and her friend are watching a movie on the tv downstairs. What is wrong with this picture.

BODY: My pedometer reads over 11,000 steps

MIND: Dr. Yee "Bitter, sweet" That was his answer for why I feel happy and sad that he is leaving. Sad because he has been wonderful doctor and resource for me; and happy for him, because he is slowing down and taking time for his family. Bitter sweet makes so much sense.

Good Night

Day 319 - 46 days to Go

I thought I better get this blog in before my midnight deadline, because apparently it is really throwing some people for a loop when it's late. (Not mentioning any names Shaunan)

Didn't get out in my garden today. I seriously rethinking put any pots out. By the time it happens, summer will be over. I kind of like the empty, filled with water look!!!! Maybe I could just throw in a couple of dandelions and they'd grow!

First job of the day was heading over the the brother in laws house to deliver his joint birthday present. Bill needed to take the son to help lift things. Once all the heavy lifting was done, we left and Bill stayed behind to hook everything up.

The son had a soccer game at noon on the artificial turf fields. It was a hot one. The boys should have won, but bad luck was with them. I brought out my blanket and pillow back, and sunscreen and relaxed and enjoyed the game. Note to people: even though the field was close to the parking lot, a couple of cars got broken into. Luckily not mine, but I realized I need to put stuff out of sight.

Stopped for groceries on the way home. Threw a couple of steaks on the BBQ and had an nice early supper - why - so Bill could head out golfing. The steak was delicious as was the salad. I just wasn't feeling hungry so didn't enjoy it to it's fullest.

Had a nice cool nap downstairs while the son played video games. The weirdest dream though. Had gone to a football game (the balcony hung over the field quite a bit. ) Was meeting Claire there and before she got to the game, the roof caved in. Now the weird part of the dream, was that in my dream I had dreamt that the roof caved in at a game. I guess you could say it was a dream in a dream, in a dream.

Had a realizition that the world is smaller than we think. The son's girlfriend has a younger sister who is friends with the son's youngest cousin. Now we find out that the son's girlfriends Mom went to university with the son's Uncle Ben.

BODY: 10,000 steps and counting.

MIND: Louise Hay "I love and approve of myself."

Good night

Day 318 - 47 Days to Go

I am officially only employed at one job for now. Finished up at the Hamptons today. So except for the cards - I've got the summer off. Had coffee with a PREP mom today. She called me up out of the blue yesterday to see if I was interested in working with her child over the summer - to help prepare them for kindergarten. As flattered as I was, I told her I didn't feel qualified. We had a great conversation and I think I came away with a better perspective on her and her family. Here's hoping she can get the necessary help for her child over the summer.
Came home after our coffee and put a few things away. Then it was off to soccer. Well actually, just dropped the son off at soccer and I went to work on cards. It really is convenient have the practices so close to both card places.
Stopped and picked up a movie on the way home. Can't remember the name, but it is the rugby movie about south africa and nelson mandela. I guess I may have to watch it again, because I fell asleep and missed the last third of it.
So much for finishing up my chores this evening. The daughter has a friend from University visiting tomorrow. It could be a little busy around our place.

BODY: Napped when my body said napped. Got my 10,000 steps in

MIND: Louise Hay "I release all criticism." I think I did that after having coffee with this particular Mom

Day 317 - 48 Days to Go

This has been one busy Thursday. My morning was a little unscheduled as Bill took one of his babies in for an oil change. He jogged home from the service station and then I had to drive him down to pick up his car. Instead of running home for 15 minutes, I headed straight for the Hamptons. Finished up there and went to meet my boss for cards. Got my Telxon so here's hoping once it has been charged, it will work.
Sometime before I returned home, the son returned from his friends house.

You know what, I'm tired and can't think straight so if anything jumps out at me, I'll write it in tomorrow's blog.

BODY: Over 11,000 steps by 6:00 - removed my pedometer to head back to work on cards.

MIND: Louise Hay "There is no blame."

Good night

Day 316 - 49 Days to Go

A lazy start to a Wednesday. Big plans, but my mind was on strike, until 10:00ish. Going to get all my kitchen cupboards wiped out this week. Mostly the pot cupboard is annoying me.
Borrowed a clothes steamer from Anne. I'm looking into getting one and after using it for the last couple of days, I think it might be a good investment. Just need it for those small T-shirt wrinkles.
Worked the Hamptons today. Went in early so I could leave early. Then came home and cleaned up the kitchen mess that didn't seem to get attention to this morning. The son was at school writing his last exam. Time to start making a work sheet for him. I gave him til Monday to attack his room, cause I'm coming in there on Monday.
Bill came home early so he could head out to golf. It was a short golf game though - reason - lightening; oh it was raining too, but he usually can golf through that. The son headed over to a friends as did the daughter. So I worked on some scrapbook stuff and cards. Hopefully that will pick up more for the summer nights as well.
Already it's 10:30, but it feels so early. I'm off to bed anyways. Hopefully I won't have any weird dreams like I did last night. Dreamt I slept in and missed going to work at the Hamptons; You know you're too busy, when you dream about missing something on your schedule.
Weird weather happenings in the country. Earthquake in Ontario and Quebec; tornado's in Calgary. Global warming is the word out there!

BODY: I ate fruit, fruit and more fruit all day. I love making the smoothie's with my Magic Bullet. Just add frozen fruit, water and crystal light.

MIND: Louise Hay "I choose prosperity thoughts; therefore I am prosperous."

Good night
