Blog 9 of July

This is one of those blogs that makes you go "hmmmmmm" (or maybe pee your pants laughing)

Yesterday I mentioned I was home alone for most of the afternoon. I had gone outside to work in the garden.  I left all my tools outside with the intention of going out later on to finish up.  I had just had a bite to eat, when I noticed it was starting to sprinkle a little bit outside (sprinkle, not tinkle).  I went onto the deck and left the screen door open so Maya could go in and out of the door without me having to cater to her.  I groomed a few of my rose bushes and all of a sudden I hear this "clunk, crash, bounce, bounce, boing, bop, bop, bop)  I knew at once that  golf ball had ventured into the yard, and maybe even onto the deck.  I quickly went  onto the deck to look for damages. Couldn't seen anything, but all that noise was impossible for the ball not to be somewhere.  My inner instincts told me to check in the house.  I took a look around and this is what I found.
Yup, resting quietly and hidden so discretely was the golf ball.
I double checked the interior of the house (and Maya) and there seemed to be no damage.  I did find some ceiling stucco on the floor by the deck door, so the obviously the bouncing I heard was the rebounding from the ceiling.
Where is the you-tube camera when you need one.
If I hadn't gone out to pick up my tools, the screen would haven been closed, or even the door shut.  Or what if I had been BBQ'ing on the deck; I would have been decked!!!!!!
Morale of the story, "It's ok if you leave your gardening tools out, they might save your life."  (I now know where Patrick gets his life lessons from.)
Enjoy Saturday, it's here all day.
