Day 1 of March

I think this is a very good sign. March 1st and it is my first day of March blog. I'm on a roll.
But, if the beginning of this week is any indication of the rest of the Month - I'm in trouble.

Let's get this darn weather out of the way. It is playing havoc with my life. Although today is supposed to get up to a high of - 19. yeah.

Bill's friend Freddy (friends since elementary school in Montreal) and his daughter were supposed to arrive yesterday for a week's ski holiday. Seems their West Jet flight got cancelled in Montreal. The Air Canada flights made it out.... hmmmmm.
So I had stayed home yesterday (instead of working cards) and sent Patrick to school with my car. I also backed out of soccer so I could make a nice supper. Luckily we were aware of the delay before the roast went in the oven. Quiche and chilli for supper. Bill was going to leave work early (11:00ish) to pick up his friend; since the flight was cancelled, he stayed at work. He arrived home around 7:00 pm feeling like he had the flu------said it hit him around 4:00. I wonder if he could have avoided it had he been able to leave early. K, that was yesterday's rant.

Here's today: Let's just get Charlie Sheen out of the way. Why is it that the "news" type shows are the ones that seem to be facilitating this gentlemans rants. Tonight apparently 20/20 is discussing his situation. Who are we going to be pointing the finger at when Charlie loses his battle to drugs!!! I hope his 2nd (or is it third) wife gets out of there with those kids ASAP.

So it's Tuesday, and I work at the playschool in the morning. With the weather and the poor road conditions, the drive to work took 40 minutues (usually 15-20) When I arrived the teacher's car wasn't there. (she is always there before me) So I'm thinking, she got caught in the horrific traffic. So I enter through the church doors upstairs. Peek in to say good morning to Kim. As I decend down the stairs, Kim runs up to me and asks if I know "There is no play school today." My first reaction is "Oh because it's too cold!" She advises me "no, the teacher is on a course, it's a planned day off!" Maybe I should look at my calendar the night before!!! Well at least I can start my supper planning earlier than expected. Freddy and his daughter arrive just after lunch. Their flight is delayed again, but only by a couple of hours this time.
Will still be doing soccer this afternoon, (this is the last week)

Ok, I think I'm done!!!
Lesson learned!!!
Stacey
