I'm pretty sure spring is just around the corner. Now I'm not going by any "groundhog" prediction...... but more by the Goose. Twice this weekend I seen Canada geese heading north. They obviously know something we don't. So that is my prediction. (not sure putting it in writing is the smartest thing to do).
So tonight Bill and I went to Jubilations Dinner Theatre. I had won tickets on the radio back in November. The show was about Buddy Holly, Richie Valence and the Big Bopper. It was a great show. Tonight was closing night, so I guess recommending people go see it would be pointless. The music was great, the acting was great, the food was great and the service was great. The date himself, well I'm working on that one. I finally got Bill to put his phone away and stop doing work stuff. I told him we were on a date, and if we weren't married and only dating, I wouldn't be impressed. His answer, people on dates now a days spend all their time on their "electronics." I told him that doesn't make it right; he says that because I'm old fashion. Anyway he put his phone away, and as I look over the table below us, there is another married guy, with his phone out, only instead of doing work, he's playing "Angry birds!" Really people. Thankfully none of this took place while the actual performances were on - but still. What ever happened to having cell phones for emergencies only!!!! Now I know I'm ranting, and I'm probably guilty as the rest of the people, but not out at the "dinner theatre!"
This week is going to be a busy one again. Between working soccer, preschool and cards, I still have those "household" jobs to get done. Mom is still in the "transition hospital" and will probably be there for three more weeks. I must admit though, she seems happier and more energetic than I've seen her in a long time. Despite not being able to walk around, she is getting more exercise and definetly a lot more attention from her kids - all of them.
Off to bed - tomorrow night is "football" night. We taped the Super Bowl. It's already been spoiled on who won, but taped it mostly for the half time show. I've heard mixed reviews - guess I'll have to see for myself.
