Day 3 of February

There are some weeks where I am wondering if I ever have anything interesting to blog about, and then there are weeks where I could blog twice a day with so much to say!!!!
Today was a very interesting day. I had planned to get up early (since I'm awake at 5:15 when Bill gets up anyways) get my exercise done and be out of the house by 8:30 am again to go to my stores. Well I accomplished all of the above, but it was 11:00 by the time I left the house. I'm blaming the last 1/2 hour on my telephone conversation with Robin, my sister.
So I finished up quite fast at Safeways, and headed to Home Outfitters. Signed in and did my work; quite quickly I might add. Some how I don't think cards are making a big splash at a home store; anyhow; I am back at the counter to sign out; there are two young people there at the til' - a young girl and a young boy. We start a conversation and introduce ourselves. Now I have seen the young man before but the young lady is new. They ask a few questions about me, so I return the favor. Seems the young lady just turned 18; finished high school in December - and is waiting for college/university to start - she is going to join the Navy and get her schooling - the young man is 22 and just finished university/college - when I inquire where he went to school - her replies - Nelson, B.C. - a small music college - hmmmm, I think to myself, seems I know someone else that was going there. Here is where it becomes a small world. Seems he knows my cousin's son (Cindy-Drew). In fact they were in a couple of ensembles together - jazz stuff- this young man Michael Copely said Drew is an amazing musician!!! As I'm driving home, I realize, it's not really that small of a world. I'm sure if everyone started up this spontaneous conversations, we'd find a lot more in common with people.
The second great thing about this encounter was these two young people. I was so impressed with their mannerisims and how they presented their selves. Even the young man was "stoked" on how cool it was to make this connection. Did I mention I love THIS job. Better get ready for our dinner!!!!

PS
