Well what a wonderful Sunday to finish off a nice weekend. We are still snowless in Calgary, but I hear that will change this week.
Robin and I went to Stagewest for brunch and a show today. This was our birthday gift to each other. It was "Motown Gold!" Need I say more. It was a musical review - songs from Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, The Miracles, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson's, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and the Cmmodores. Basically from pre-Motown - to early Motown to Disco Motown to the New Motown. It was wonderful. I was surprised at the number of "elderly" people in the audience. They must be season ticket holders - but I swear there wasn't one gray hair in the place that was boppin' to the music. Good thing the lights were down and the music was loud, 'cause I was dancin' in my seat and singing loud and proud. Hopefully I didn't embarrass Robin too much. In addition to the great show, the food was fantastic. I will be trying out Stage West again, no question!
After I dropped Robin off at home, I headed to Staples for some ink. Apparently the son had some homework he needed to print; I had already ordered some on line, but it wasn't going to be delivered until Monday!!! I guess you can never have too much ink.
Then I headed to Canadian Tire to look for my Christmas Tree. If you aren't familar with the Christmas Tree saga - it goes something like this. Last year we decided we needed a new "fake" tree. Ours was 25 years old and a little broken up. So I gave it to Robin to use until she got a new one. I wanted a tree with optic lighting. Found one at Canadian Tire. It was beautiful, but had one fault - the base of the tree wasn't big enough to support the tree and it kept falling down - over and over and over - I lost a few great ornaments. So I returned it after Christmas (with great difficulty) So today at Canadian Tire, I found my tree - unfortunately it was the same one as last year - fortunately I bought a wider base for it; unfortunately there will have to be some homemade adjustments in order for it to fit; fortunately it was on sale - and i got the tree I love. Now I want to make those adjustments so I can start decorating in my spare time - hahahah - almost fell off my chair laughing.
Any way, time to clean off my desk and head to bed - another busy week is almost upon us. I love my life!!!!! (I must so not be PSM'ing)
Night to all
Stacey
I think i've experienced something similar with you. Only one dancing in the place!
