Day 1 of November

I almost put day 15 of October, but alas, October has come and gone, and with it some of the most beautiful weather of the year. It our weather could stay like this 12 months of the year, I would give up summer weather (that wouldn't have been a loss this year)

It was been a busy week. I'm hoping this is unusual and not my norm, otherwise, I may have created a monster. I'm still enjoying all the jobs, but I did underestimate the time line. I figured a max of 27 hours a week - on a busy week; forgot travel time. That's where I have the most unproductive time. The good thing about it, is that although I am tired, I have no time to nap, so I'm in bed early and get a great sleep!!!! Maybe this is the new day format.

Had big plans for the weekend. I convinced Mom to take a trip with me to Lethbridge to visit Uncle Len. It took a fair amount of convincing. Mom is not one who is comfortable visiting people in the hospital. I'm not sure, but it may be from when Dad was sick and she was there all the time. Association some times plays havoc on your mind set. Anyway, I told her I was going with or with out her, but we were going to make it an over night trip - with a nice birthday dinner. Unfortunately Uncle Len passed away on Wednesday evening. I'm not sure if I have ever talked about my favorite uncle before. I can close my eyes and see his smile and when he'd laugh his shoulders would shake up and down. His laugh came from his belly. He gave the toast to the bride at our wedding 25 years ago. I can't remember his speech, but he gave me the most memorable gift; it was an inside joke and really too long to get into here. He gave us this present and said we couldn't open it until we got to our honeymoon destination. I couldn't wait, so I opened it on the plane. Turns out it was a bag of buttons. Those darn buttons went to Disneyland and on our cruise to Mexico. As far as uncle's go, he is one of the best.

Went and had coffee with Janice tonight. Dropped Patrick off at fitness and we met at Starbucks. It was a post birthday celebration. Janice looked good - no she looked great.

After we got home I was checking my emails and I had one from "ocean fish.com" Seems they got my letter; were quite apologetic; gave me details of their quality control system; and I'll should be looking for a gift package to be delivered shortly. As I said in my last posting - they have great products!

Tomorrow is going to be relaxing. I had cleared my calendar to take mom to Lethbridge. I guess it would be a good time to get those unfinished projects - finished.

Night
Stacey
