MEMORY: Give thanks to all those who gave for us.
I came across a great quote; the author is unknown "Freedom is never free!"
In addition to Remembrance Day, this is a pretty neat day; just for the fact it is the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011. Apparently that won't happen again for another 100 years - someone else will have to blog about it.
This past couple of weeks have also had other memories. On Dec 3, 2010 we lost a "small town southern man". It's been a year without Uncle Len and I'm sending all my memories of him out to his family.
I have also been a busy lady for the past couple of weeks. These November and December birthdays seem to just come up all at once. So I am officially acknowledging that I did not make all my cards this month. But I did make a couple of birthday slide shows which I think will make up for my indescretion.
Some good news "BILL IS NOW FINALLY EMPLOYED!" That yelling is out of pride and not relief. Ok, maybe a little of both. So he starts work on Monday. Now I know some people will be asking me the details, so I've put a little blurb in
Legacy is pleased to announce the addition of Bill Wee to the management team as Vice President, Operations. Mr. Wee is a professional engineer with 28 years of oil and natural gas experience in reservoir, exploitation, and production engineering, drilling, completions, facilities, field operations, joint ventures, marketing and acquisitions. He holds Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degrees from the University of Calgary. He is a member of APEGGA and has served on council of the Vermilion Branch of APEGGA.
So it doesn't look like Bill will be doing any traveling out of the country - unless you count Estevan or Manitoba. The process had been going on for about a month now - and every day I kept asking if it was official yet. And yesterday, I got the word. Now I have to get back into my old routine, which will now be a new routine once again.
That's it for now - off to celebrate 5 birthdays day - and I'm pretty sure there will be at least four birthday cakes.
(PS DE) I guess we won't have to move to Texas to work for Todd!! (shucks)
