I've got friends in low places........no this wasn't a dig at my BFF's. It means we are going to Garth Brooks. Short version of a long story. Bill came home last week from work and we were sitting around the dinner table; Bill, myself, Ashley and Ethan (Patrick's substitute) I think the daughter was talking about getting grandstand tickets and Bill made a comment that he turned down Garth Brooks tickets. I looked at him and told him to stop teasing, and of course he made that face that tells us he was teasing. I told him I knew he was teasing because there is no way he would have turned down Garth Brooks tickets when he knows what a big fan I am. I had told him when the tickets first went on sale, that I wouldn't pay for tickets to this show because we had just seen him in Vegas. And I didn't want him to call in any favors for tickets, again, because we had just seen him in Vegas. But if he were offered tickets, I would love to go and see Garth again. So yesterday, after work, guess who comes home with Garth Brooks tickets? And it looks like we have great seats. I am a very spoiled lady. I guess I will be going down to the grounds this year. Remind me to get my black cowboy boots back from Ashley.
While I was camping last weekend, I had received an email from Patrick. It basically went something like this: Still safe, and having the time of my life! He didn't sign it with our code name, so I'm hoping it was him (hahaha)
Also I mentioned that I sent a note to the owner/company of Lundbreck Falls to mention my dismay about not being able to put up tents in the regular camping area. Well yesterday I received a reply from the company:
hello. thank you for your email in reguards to tenting at lundbreck falls. you are correct, you can have a tent on any site as long as it is registered. i will be meeting with our manager to clear this issue up.this person is new and he is mistaken on this regulation

In hind sight I'm wondering if I should have mentioned the inappropriate comments from the caretaker. My concern was that I had paid for the campsite with my cheque, which has my address and the last thing I want to do is tick off a creepy guy who knows where I live!!!!!
It was another beautiful day yesterday. It is hot, hot, hot, but I'm not complaining - I'll take this over the cold, winter days any time. And when I looked out into the back yard this morning, I have roses blooming all over the place, and my peonies are starting to bloom.
Unfortunately I still have the ant problem by our back window. Before I left for camping, I put out corn meal. I think it was my sister in law who mentioned if you put out oatmeal, the ants eat it, the oaatmeal expands in their tummy and they die. Humane - their ants, I'm not feeling too my anguish. Although the oatmeal didn't work, so yesterday when I stopped at Co op I picked up these little ant traps. It says they are supposed to be used inside, but I secured them in amongst those tiny workers. I sat and watched then ants last night, and there were so may and they were moving so fast, all I could think of was the movie Ants or Bug's Life. Really, it was a scene out of the movie.
Anyway the treadmill isn't going to start itself, so I better get a move on.
Enjoy your tuesday.
Stacey
