Dqy 2 of July

Can you spell T-I-R-E-D......What a busy weekend.  Holiday Monday didn't turn out the way I planned at all. When I woke up in the morning I had great intentions of making some Rice Rolls like my sister in law had made the day before.  I had soaked my rice the night before and as soon as I got up, I put the rice in my Magic Bullet.  I got about 8 cups of mixture.  I added the other ingredients and put it ont he counter for later.   We went for dim sum (my first time in the bat mobile this summer) to celebrate both Ben and Karen's birthdays. (different days, but close enough) After a quick pit stop, we headed home.  I was so tired, I thought I would catch some zzzzz's and then wake up and make my rice rolls.  But first I checked the emails because I was supposed to go to a birthday party for the three kids I play with.  There was an email, but it was not clear, and it seemed like I might actually be working.  Now the little devil and angel were on my shoulders debating on what to do...  "Quick go lay down and pretend you didn't se the email!"  "no, no, no, you said you wanted to go to the party, you can sort out your roll when you get there."  Well you can probably guess who won the debate (I need a name for that angel).  So headed over to the birthday party - seems I will be working from 2:00 until 7:00.  And I did.  The weather was beautiful and the kids were able to play outside in the pool and sprinkler, fort and sandbox.  The afternoon did go really fast.  By the time I got home around 7:30 I was beat.  I took one look at my rice mixture on the counter and decided to put in the fridge and make the rolls on Tuesday.
Tuesday morning came way to early thanks to Maya and her incredible senses.  The window was open and she must have smelled or heard the deer in the yard.  I got up to take a look and it was Bambi.  Now normally I don't like having the deer in my yard, but this was bambi and she looked a little scared (she must have thought Maya was much bigger.) So I closed the window and the curtains so Maya couldn't scare her.  I didn't want her trying to jump over the fence, because I didn't think she would make it, and I've seen smaller ones catch their belly fur on there before.  Well I was awake now.  Headed into work on my cards and then my little ones.  By the time I got home around 4:00, my rice mixture had a thin layer on ice on top (fridge too cold maybe)  So do I take a chance and use it, only to have my rice rolls not turn out........where are those two angel and devil's now?    Well I ended up pouring the entire thing down the drain, with lots and lots of hot water.  I was smart enough to figure out not to start a new batch until next week.  Why wait so long you ask?  Because this weekend is our 6th annual camping weekend.  And when I say we, I mean Janice and I.  I will fill you in on the details when we get back..... I just hope we don't see any bears this year!!!!!
Well, my work is all done (if you don't count house work) and i'm ready to head to bed.  It's been a week since I heard from my son, so maybe tomorrow will be the day.
Night
