My goodness this week flew by. My last entry was Tuesday, and it's already Saturday. It's been a long time, but I have been looking forward to this day all week. Just to relax and do nothing - or at least relax and do very little.
The past three days are a blur - I know I worked - that's all I remember. I think I got a bit of knitting done. Oh wait, that's what I haven't mentioned. On my list of 50 things - one was to learn how to knit. Well I am loom knitting. I hope that counts. I really didn't have any intentions of doing the loom knitting, but one day I was out shopping with my girlfriend Janice. She was looking at these looms and thought it would be something she wanted to try. We get all the way to the check out and she realizes she doesn't have time right now. But in my little hand is my 50% off Michaels coupon, so off course, I decide what a neat thing to try. So I've already finished one project (Janice's birthday present so I can't tell what it is right now) and I've started another project - which is either going to be a poncho or a blanket. I haven't quite decided because I'm not sure if I like the thickness of the wool for a poncho. I'll know better when I get a little more done. So that is 10 things off my list. I am down to 40!!!!!!!
So today Bill and I decided to try and fix the garage door that is broke - to keep a long story short - we've called someone in to fix it. The "wire" on the left side of the door had come off. We figured we just needed to get it back on. So as Bill was checking out the right side of the door to see how it should look, the wire on the right side breaks (actually snaps) from being corroded. Now had we fixed the left side and used the door, there is a good chance it could have come down on the vehicles or a person!!!! If that isn't the universe looking out for us, I don't know what it.
The day gets even crazier. I'm eating lunch and..... well I'll just let you read the letter I wrote:
Dear Sirs:
Re: Ocean's Albacore Tuna Snack Kit
I am a big fan of your Tuna Snack Kits. They are my saving grace when I'm in a hurry for a quick bite to eat, especially when I'm on the run. Imagine my surprise when at lunch today, I am finishing off a delicious can of tuna, and I discover something unusual in my mouth (and for once it' s not my foot.)
I've enclosed "the almost 2 inch foreign substance" which according to my paleontology books, appears to be a bone from an actual tuna fish. Ok, to be honest, I just googled it. (what did we ever do without google) I would have actually been a little more nervous had it not turned out to be a bone. Just the same you may want to have your "team of experts" examine the foreign object.
I thought this should be brought to your attention just in case you have had similar queries or maybe this is an isolated case. In any case, the code on the can was
M1H40C LFYCLCF 3CF3T.
I'm pretty sure I haven't been scarred for life - but I know I'll be a little more cautious when eating your tuna snacks. Or maybe I should switch to salmon snacks, and that way, the bones will be expected.
Sincerely yours.
Stacey Wee
And I swear this bone was almost 2 inches long. Could use it as a toothpick!!!!!!
Well the rest of the day should be calm - Patrick has a soccer game, so will drop him off and have a quick visit with my mom before I head back to watch the game. Tonight I am going to relax and knit!!!!
Have a great weekend.
Stacey
