Who invented fractions?
Henry the eighth!!!!!
Ok, am I the only one who thinks that is totally funny? I told that joke to the kids and nieces and nobody laughed. In fact both Patrick and Jane asked at different times - "How do you know it wasn't Henry the 5th." And Susan asked "What's so important about Henry the 8th?:" Of course you can guess my answer to that..... I'm Henery the 8th I am, Henery the 8th I am I am. I got married to the widow next door........well you know the rest.
So I don't think I have brought up the latest news on my Blog - or maybe I have and have just forgotten. Bill got fired from his job on August 17th. Let go - shown the door - reorganized right out of the company. As devestating as it sounds, I believe it might have been a blessing in disguise. He was tired, and worn out and needed a break. The sad part was that it came so close to his Dad's passing. Bill did make a comment while we were driving that night (he was fired), "I guess this is Dad's way of telling me to take it easy for awhile!" That is the most "spiritual" thing I have ever heard Bill say!"
This past Sunday we had a nice family dinner at Anne and Brian's. The food was fantastic. It was nice to see some old friends of Anne's that we haven't seen in awhile. The kids got in some nice visiting before Patrick and Jane head off to their respective Universities. Hard to believe that will be this coming weekend. I think Patrick is looking forward to it, but I would be less anxious if he would at least start to pack!
Now that Bill isn't working he's thinking we should make a trip out to Victoria and just hang out. I start work on tuesday, so it would have to be a short trip if I'm going. It's going to be a hectic week for me. Trying to help Patrick get organized and trying to get health items up to date for my Mom - new teeth - check; new stockings - still ongoing - in fact it has now become the "Stocking Saga!" Get her blue cross fixed up and Access and I am up to date on Mom stuff. It's hard to believe both kids are now adults. I'm looking forward to focusing on Bill, Mom and of course myself. Life is good.
