Day 8 of August

JOKE:

The blonde then says "Gee, I'm kinda lonely... I wish my friends were here!!!"

My sister Robin had to take a course up in Edmonton. She wanted some company for the trip so she invited me along. We left Monday afternoon; We arrived in Edmonton at our hotel around 5:00ish. First thing we did when we got to our room was have a couple of coolers to cool off. Another note to self - "don't be so lazy and ask the front desk for a bottle opener". I was trying to do my "camping" opener trick. Doesn't work so well when there is nothing "worthless" to put the bottle cap against. Needless to say I have a very pronounced bruise on my left hand. I think I broke a blood vessle. But on a good note - Robin got the best laugh ever. So we finished icing my hand and headed down to the lounge for dinner. It was pretty empty but the food was pretty good. Then we headed back upstairs - thinking I was ready for a nap. But alas, a little tv (had to share the remote) and then some cards. Good thing I came prepared because my sister didn't bring a thing to do.
I was just finishing up America's Most Funniest Videos before 11:00 pm when I noticed Robin was already asleep. The eyes were closed and there was a quiet shush of breathing coming from her. (didn't want to call it snoring). So I turned off the TV, turned off the light and said a quiet good night. Well, Robin darn near scared the crap out of me when she said "good night." She said she wasn't sleeping..
Tuesday morning - someone had a course to attend, so their alarm went off at 6;30 am. Being the loveable sister that I am, I woke up to so Robin wouldn't have to try and be quiet. I told her about scaring me the previous night - seems she doesn't remember talking to me. Hmm. might have to psycho analysis that one. So Robin headed for her course - I grabbed a book and read for a little bit and the next thing I know I'm waking up at 10:00. Changed quickly and got in some treadmill; a 30 minutes massage; an hour nap and a relaxing shower. Late check out was 3:00 and Robin wasn't finished until 4:30 so I checked out and headed over the the downtown mall.
That was the day in a nut shell. But the best part was driving home and we started singing old songs from Carmangay days. We both had smiles on our face.
