Day 1 of August

Please don't tell me the summer is half over.... We are having the most beautiful weather. I could live like this for the entire year. Hats off to my smart son. He and Ashley cleaned the hot tub on Saturday. Then Patrick refilled it. But in his youthful wisdom, and knowing that Sunday was supposed to be another hot day, he did not put the temperature too high. Just the right temperature for a waterballoon fight in the back yard. Patrick and his cousin and friends spent the afternoon engaged in the funniest water fight I've ever watched. Late in the afternoon, Robin, Alisa and Miss Caylee came over to take a quick dip in the pool too. We ordered pizza and ate on the deck. Couldn't have asked for a nicer evening. If you ever need a smile, this was a good group of people to have around. (despite the teenagers using up all my towels).
Monday was a holiday for some. I found myself sleeping in - after I got up and had breakfast. Faithfully did my treadmill again. These new cordless speakers make working out so much easier. After working out, Bill and I finished off re sanding (just adding sand and water) to the patio stones. They look brand new. After a 3 1/2 hour nap (I must be finally catching up on much needed sleep) I headed off to work to clean up a couple of stores. Now it's back home to Maya and an empty house (Bill's golfing, Patrick's at the girlfriends and Ashley is working). No better time for a cooler than now.
Also got a todo item done. Sent an email off to the "Finish" dishwasher people. I tried their new product - the Finish QuantuMatic. It is the neasted concept. You put this contraption in your dishwasher - it's good for 12 washes, and then you add new inserts. (I had a coupon for a free trial offer) see De, couponing has been around for ages... but I found the dishes didn't seem to come out as clean as when I just used the tabs. So I thought it was my "clean" duty to inform them of their defective product. I did mention that I liked the concept, and when they had perfected it, give me a call (and a free one)
Anyway, off to finish off my 8 loads of laundry....
