Surprise - You can get back on your chair - didn't mean to scare anyone. Dear Blog, it's been less than a day since my last confession!!!!
Smile on my face. Just came back inside from working in the garden. I love how calm and relaxing it can be, especially when you're out there because you want to be and not because you have to be. I finished edging the front lawn. I apologize to the three worms whom I might have cut into their day - literally. Then I removed the unwanted, but not unloved weeds from the front garden. That is my favorite garden in the yard (but keep that a secret- especially from the back yard) It's the garden that my father-in-law planted for me, and it contains all perenials, so my work is very limited, and last week, it was in full bloom and gorgeous. Then I grabbed Maya and we went to the back yard. My favorite rose bushes are back there. Planted by my own, unknowledgable hands. And they are surviving, and almost thriving. The biggest drawback to my back garden is this 'horsetail" weed. I think that is what it is called. I took a sample into a garden store a few years back and I may have even blogged about it once before (talk about getting to much attention). But this weed has migrated to our yard from the golf course (reason number two as to why we shouldn't live on a golf course) I know Bill is quite comfortable spraying this weed to end its power in the yard. I, on the other hand, were prefer less chemicals, but have no compassion on how it suffers. On it's own, in some natural field, it might look beautiful (in the eye of the beholder), but in my garden, it looks like what it is - a weed. It's mighty strength allows itself to push through the grass, through rocks, cobble stone cracks and anywhere there has been water.....One of my goals this summer is to find the kryptonite for this weed; it's own colic per say (after all it is a horse-tail) I might even research and discover it origins and how it obtained its name. Ok, I'm not that desperate for things to do. I'll keep you posted.
Finished vacuuming and now I should put some thought into what I'm wearing this evening. That's right, it's Spinner time. "could it be I'm falling in love" or how about "The Rubberband Man." I'm looking forward to meeting up with our friend Grace as well. Seems she heard me on the radio when I won the tickets and facebooked me that would be there with her two sisters. Small world once again.
Enoy your Saturday.
Stacey
