Day 1 of February

I must be dreaming, but I thought for sure I had already made a blog for February.  I guess not.  It may be posted in my mind somewhere.  If I find it, I'll put it down.

It's already February 6th.  I guess that's not too far into the month.

Have a funny, but "scary" story to share from yesterday.  We had taken the three kids for a walk.  Along comes this nice young lady and her big light chocolate brown lab.  Now even though the lab was big, I'm pretty sure it was still young.  She stopped so the kids could see the dog.  We inquired if it was ok for the kids to pet "kinny".  This was such a friendly dog.  The kids were in their glory - even little J.J. who is usually frightened by all four legged creatures. This dog likes to dig, and was eating the snow (we explained that it was ok for dogs to eat snow, but not people), and every now and then the dog would come across a twig, which he also ate.  The owner explained that Kinny was a sniffer dog, and last week she was in an off leash area, in a ravine and Kinny was doing was Kinny does best, sniffing and digging.  Apparently Kinny came across somebody's stash of "weed" (not weeds) and ate them.  The owner had to take poor Kinny to the vet and treat her for drug overdose.  I would love to sit in that ravine and wait for the "weed owners" to show up and see their expression when they discover their stash missing.

Finally my pin hole glasses arrived yesterday.  It's amazing and mysterious how they work.  I can sit at the island in the kitchen and see the clock on the wall, it's blurry, but I can see the time.  I put on the glasses and it's no longer blurry.  I can also sit at the island and look at the time on the microwave, and I can't actually make out the time.  But I put on the pin hole glasses and I can actually see the time.  Without going into detail about who, what, where, when and why (that's what google is for), I even got Bill to give them a try while watching TV.  We've decided to leave them on the table by the T.V.and try and use them for 10-20 minutes each night (longer if we want).  I am so open to trying new things, but to actually get Bill on board is amazing.

I did my recertification last weekend for my CPR and child CPR.  I'm good for another three years.  Next weekend is also a busy one.  30 day party for baby Tucker and Chinese New Year celebration.  I'm a little sad that both my kids won't be around.  Patirck of course is busying with mid-terms and Ashley is working all weekend, a small horse show.  Guess this is what happens when they grow up..... Sometimes I want my babies back.

Off to look after someone elses' babies.
