Day 3 of February

Well it is Wednesday morning and I am reflecting on what I accomplished yesterday and what I learned.
The day had an early start to it.  I had to go to one of my stores for an inventory.  I finished up there and headed over to another store to get some boxes put out.  On the way home I stopped for milk - and as usual milk usually involves 15 to 20 other things.  Thankfully I listened to the little voice in my head and got a buggy as I headed into Superstore.  $150.00 later I left the store only to discover, I couldn't remember where I parked my car.  Again this isn't such an abnormality that I should be concerned.  Other times that I have misplaced my car, I eventually found it and it was only one maybe two rows off.  This time I was 4 rows off.  I could barely hear the squeek of my remote.  Which brings me to another point.  What did we used to do before we had the remote locks.  Maybe the police received more false alarms about stolen cars.
So I loaded the groceries into the house and decided I had better take a look for my cell phone.  I was sure I had seen it in the morning.  And I was also sure I had put it in my purse.  Butduring my entire excursion during the day , I could not locate it. When I got home I grabbed the house phone and proceeded to dial my cell number........  Couldn't hear a thing in the house.  Took the house phone into the garage....dialed again and listened....still nothing.  I made another trip to the basement and tried dialing again; I figured it must have at least been on vibrate and I could "feel" it.  But no, nothing.  Well, I guess I could use a new, updated cell phone anyway.  I get on the computer and find a number for our cell phone company.  After pushing a million buttons, I finally get a human voice,  And it was a very nice, and helpful human voice.  I said "Sorry to bother you, but I think I've lost my phone, what do you need from me and what do I do?"  He must have realized I was a first time lost phone virgin and he carefully walked me through a few questions.  Once he determined I was who I said I was, he asked me when I had my phone last.  Then he wanted the PIN number.  As I am moving papers around on my desk, guess what I found..... Yup.  My cell phone.  I always tell the kids to move two things before they say they can't find something.  I should follow my advice.  I quickly apologize to the gentleman on the phone and to my amusement he compliments himself on how good he is.  I agree.  Now if that, on top of my lost car in the parking lot, doesn't make you smile or at least bring a giggle to your throat, well life must not be going well for some.
I put the groceries away and was just settling on the couch for some Maya snuggle time, (or what I like to call a nap) and I hear the garage door open.  Now it's only 2:30 in the afternoon....turns out Ashley had the day off and she popped in, also for some Maya snuggle time (same).  Then my daughter presented me with a Valentine's gift (I guess she's going to snuggle elsewhere for the next few days)  It was a gift card for a pedicure and nail tips at my favorite salon.  By the time we finished chit chatting, I no longer needed a snuggle.
Around 6:00 p.m. I headed out for my date with my brother in law Brian.  We were off to see a play "The Kite Runner."  As I'm driving to the theatre, I make a quick call to Mom (I don't want her to wonder whats wrong with me if she doesn't hear from me)  I had the best conversation with her, and she still had a smile in her voice from our day together the previous Saturday.  I had invited Mom to a baby shower for Tucker, and to help celebrate Chinese New Year.  Mom's comment to me on my blue tooth was "That was the happiest day in my life."  I'm glad we were able to make her day, but I was certain my birth was the happiest day of her life.........
Anyway, I met Brian, we watched the play, and what a play it was.  I had never read the book, or seen the movie, but it was a very moving play.
It was an early night and I was home by 10:30.
Well, it's swimming day with the kids, so I better get my swimsuit out of the car.  It's probably soo cold.
Later
Stacey
