What started off as a beautiful weather day, has once again ended in snow. But I'm going to stay optimistic and say, spring is just around the corner (under the bridge and over the mountain), but it's coming.
Had a fairly quiet Sunday. Woke up early, so I headed over to my mom's right away. I had promised that I would help her clean out her closet and drawers. Seems her wardrobe is multipling a little too fast for her space allottment. It took us just about two hours. I came home with three bags of clothes - 2 for donations, and one for laundry. Mom had other laundry there, but she was saving it for her granddaughter to do. (She thinks by having laundry ready, she might also get a visit out of it)
Now it can sometimes take me a week to get my laundry done, from beginning to end. So why is it, I had mom's laundry finished before supper time. And then it motivated me to actually get all my laundry done as well.
Ashley got home late Sunday night. It has been a busy 3 or 4 days at work for her. A horse show was going on, and there were quite a few entries. She was so exhausted I don't think she even noticed her new fish. Let me back up at bit. The previous weekend, Ashley and her beau went to the pet store and bought a "beta" fish. Ashley named it Dru (after Despicalbe Me character) Well Dru laster about 5 days. So the boyfriend returned the dearly departed to the pet store and got a replacement. Not sure what the new name is. That reminds me of the first fish Ashley ever got. It was when we were living in Lloydminster. Our friends Neil and Gwen, from Edmonton had visited us for the weekend. We went fish shopping the next day and Ashley (who was age 2) was quite adamant about naming the fish "Neil!"
Today was an exciting day. I got the son's birthday present. He is off to see Taylor Swift in Winnipeg (and of course he is taking his mother) Floor seats, row 3. Patrick's more excited to see Ed Sheeran, but I'll be singing with Miss Taylor. Patrick's birthday isn't until April, so it's a secret. Oh who am I kidding, I couldn't keep something this exciting from him. I called him this evening and told his the good news. Whooo hooo. (I tried Rose, I really tried)
Well I better get my calendar up to date. Lots of activities coming up.
later
Stacey
