Romantic Day with my Husband!
That is the title of this blog!
My husband informed me that he was taking Thursday off work. I felt a little special to think he'd give up the daily grind just to spend the day with me. (He said he was burnt out and needed a couple of days off work)
Bill got up early and took the son to school and headed off to the gym. (doesn't miss a work out for nobody)
I made him a lovely breakfast whilst he hung his aroma filled workout clothes on the banister for all to see and smell! (thank goodness for the onions in the eggs)
After tidying up quickly, we headed out for a nice romantic jaunt to 'THE DUMP' Ahh memories, we haven't been to the dump together in years. Imagine my surprise when he asked me to get out of the truck to help him lift something from the back of the truck!!! The flapping wings of many, many seagulls and magpies reminded me of the "the birds!" That had to be the best $10.00 we spent all day!!!
Next it was off to Costco, cause lord knows I love to shop when we're together. Picked up the pictures and Christmas presents I ordered. Looked at a few electronic devices but walked out of the store after 15 mintues and empty handed (didn't even dine on the free food down the aisles.)
Future Shop was almost a "sale" for me, but turned out the discontinued laptop wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Left it at the till with a shocked salesman who couldn't believe Bill told him "Nobody should buy computers from this store."
Last stop on our outing was Canadian Tire! Sort of a quick version of Bath and Beyond - NOT. What was needed in this varity store - golf balls! Isn't that season over yet!!!!!
We headed home, grabbed the Maya and took her for her daily jaunt! Can you imagine my surprise when we got to the fork in the road and we each wanted to go a different way! Since I was in charge of the leash, we took my route! Of course Maya and I were walking a little too fast (called exercise) and Bill lagged behind about ten feet. (income emails on the blackberry) The romantic walk!!!!
Now we're home, eating lunch - looking out the large back window. What a beautiful lush view. How romantic! "Hey" the husband annouces, "Look no wind!" And yes, he was out the door with his big bertha (that's a golf club).
The son and I left for soccer before Bill arrived home from his round of golf.
It warms my heart as I write this blog to know, we will always have this day, this memory!!!!!!
BODY: With all the walking I did, I was over my 10,000 steps before I left for soccer around 5:30. I removed my pedometer at that time, so I know I must be close to 100,000!!!!!!!!!
MIND: Despite what my sarcastic blog sounds like, it was a nice relaxing day with my husband. And it has been a long time since we did errands together. I'll take what I can get of his time, especially during golf season.

Good night
Sleep tight
I know I will!!!
