Day 65 - 300 Days to Go

First of all, I didn't forget to write my blog last night - I was just to darn tired!
Let me rephrase that; At first I forgot to write in my blog, climbed into bed, then remembered but was too darn tired to get out of bed! Even the guilt couldn't make me jump out of bed! So here it is!
Busy busy day. Started out with a first from a soccer mom, dropping off some soccer stuff. Good thing I was out of bed and dressed! (good thing she phoned first or I wouldn't have been out of bed and dressed)
Quick clean up and I was off to take my mother-in-law to a CT appointment. Apparently it was being done on her head to see if dementia or depression was setting in! Can that actually be done? If so, I want it done? Why was it never done on me? I'm going to have a talk with my doctor, the next time I see him! Mom was tired by the end of it, but I thought she looked great and did great. She is getting very weak, but seems more content - if that makes any sense!
Then I dashed home to pick up the son's soccer stuff, give a quick cuddle to Maya and I was off again to pick up the son and drop him off at the soccer dome for a game. He was early, but preferred it that way instead of getting a ride later from a friend. I think he actually enjoys hanging out at the soccer dome. It reminds me of the daughter when she was riding, even though she didn't have a lesson, she would prefer hanging out at the barn!
Quickly (but safely) drove home, made a quick change and Bill and I were off to pick up Anne and head down to the Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival (trip number 1)
This is the 3rd of 4th year for me! It seemed smaller this year. Tried a couple of new drinks. They have a new alcohol freezie here (have had one in Ontario and B.C. for a few years now) It was a little too sour for my liking. Almost made your jaws clench at the back. The best part of the night was when we sat down for some cheese tasting. I learned some interesting facts. One was not to keep your cheese in the door of the fridge (I'm assuming he was referring to fine cheese, because why else is the cheese compartment in the door) hmmmmm. It was a fairly early evening as we were home by 10:00ish. We are off to make the same rounds on Friday night - might not turn out the same way!!!!

BODY: By 3:00 I had 4900 steps on my pedometer. Didn't take it with me to the Festival,(due to foot wear) but I'm pretty sure I got close to, if not over the 10,000 mark. Despite the fact, Bill even parked pretty close to the facility!!!!

MIND: Quote: "Alcohol removed inhibitions - like that scared little mouse who got drunk and shook his whiskers and shouted - "Now bring on that darn cate!" I'm proud to say I was not that little mouse last night!!!!

Night (or good morning) depending on where in the world you are reading this
