Day 78 - 287 Days to Go

I can't believe the week is half over. Had a very unproductive day - in the house- but a very productive day with the daughter. Did a bit of straightening up in the morning and then the daughter asked me to come out to the barn with her. It was a nice afternoon. Brought back alot of memories from her teenage years - some good, some even better. As we drove out to the barn I started to miss the drive that we made on an almost daily basis. But boy did that feeling disappear as I stepped into the actual barn and caught the lovely aroma of freshly made horse poop!!!!! It was nice to see Kim and Harold, Sonny and Cher (the cats) and of course Mac and the gang of horses. I think I seen Mac (I can only differentiate a horse by black, white or brown.) Thank goodness for names on the stalls, or I would have been talking to the wrong white horse when I was looking for Pebbles.
Came home, made the much anticipated tacho's for supper and headed off to the son's soccer game. I'm not a very good "audience member". My heart can't take it, especially when the son when sliding into the boards. It was a very close game, but unfortunately for our team, the ref was a little one sided with her calls. I think she tried to redeem herself in the second half, but by then the damage was done and the game was tied. It could have been worse, we could have lost!!!!

BODY: 10,000 steps and couting. Didn't really get a chance to practice the line dancing today. Although I did try in the hallway of the barn, but the horses started to spook. Will give me my all tomorrow.

MIND: "A daughter is a mother's gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of her self. " ~Author Unknown It was a lovely afternoon with the daughter, and we both thanked each other for spending the day together. One of us is growing up - (and Ashley's coming along well too)
Good night
Pleasant dreams
