Wooo hooo - the basement floor is in. Hopefully this will be the dustiest it will ever be. I took the vacuum over it once, but there is still a layer. No use doing a bang up job just yet because they start on the stairs on Monday, and that will be even most dust. Can't wait to start putting stuff back.
Busy day today - Worked at the Hamptons School all day. I snuck home at lunch time and helped Bill move some of the furniture out of our bedroom. Just discovered that he has more drawer space than I do. No wonder my drawers are packed to the brim. How could he possibly have more under wear and socks than me. He wears the same old underwear from 20 years ago (the new stuff is still in the packages) and although he has numerous new pairs of socks, he keeps wearing the same ones until they are thread bare in the heal. So Santa won't need to bring new stuff, just clean out the drawers and throw away the old stuff - do I dare.
Anyway, I headed back to school until 3:30 - came home, cleaned up and then went to pick up the son from - you guessed it - soccer. We were home in plenty of time, but Bill still didn't get out of the house until 6:15 (he waited for Dan, Dan the hardwood man to finish up). Where was Bill going (and is still at as I type) Seems there was another tequila tasting out at Willow Park Wine and Spirits. Hmmm wonder if I'll be going shopping tomorrow! For Bill's sake I hope not, because he has so much he wants to get done this weekend. I drove him to his function and he is supposed to be taking a cab home!!!!!!
Neat contest I'm going to enter. I bought the Oprah Magaine with Ellen on it and there is a contest where you enter for 12 days (dec 1 to dec 12) . The actual instructions read like this:
Once a day, from Dec 1 through Dec 12, you can enter by logging on to oprah.com/12 days and typing the appropriate code for that day. Each day's entry will increase your chances of winning. 12 readers will receive all 46 items on the 9-page O-List Holdiay Edition. Grand prize winner is two tickets to live tapings of Oprah and Ellen's show. So if you're following my blog, I am going to post the codes each day so you won't have to buy the magazine and find them. We could all be winners. Feel free to share this information with friends and family.
Bill's still not home!!!!
BODY: Maya and I went for a walk after work/school this afternoon. She was so anxious to get out. I think she's feeling couped up with the noise and smell and dust in the house.
MIND: Louise Hay affirmation "Opportunities are everywhere, I have unlimited choices." And I intend on winning something from Oprah.
Night (not waiting up for Bill)
Stacey
