Well it happened. I forgot to write my blog last night. Didn't postpone it, didn't delay it, just darn well forgot. I was so tired!!!!
It was a long day Tuesday. De lost the coin toss and had to drive me to the airport. She is a very independant, strong, brave, outgoing lady, but throw some freeways her way, and she gets a little flustered. Not sure why though, she did a great job and got me to the airport like a pro. The GPS system wasn't very helpful, although it did give us something to make comments to. So as De is driving she reminds me that she is not one of those people who makes a big fuss (emotionally) when people arrive or leave. But we were both a little teary eyed when it came time for the final hug. What a great friend. The time we spent together this weekend, made it seem like we haven't been apart for very long.
So I'm on the plane and there are maybe 30-40 people total on the entire plane. I'm thinking this is going to be easy to get a nap.!!! Didn't happen, I was cold, forgot to get a pillow and blanket, and the guy next to me kept sneezing and scaring the crap out of me (from the surprise sneeze, not the chance he might have H1N1)
Bill picked me up at the airport and we headed home - to a partially demolished home. Bill had started removing some of the carpet. So after a quick 45 mintues nap and a bite to eat, I joined him. I gave him his birthday present early and boy did it help. I had Todd pick me up these industrial SKIL scissors in Dallas and Bill used them on the carpet removal process - he sure had a smile on his face.
Then it was off to line dance lessons. Thank goodness I practised a little bit before I left. Then on to pick up the son at soccer practice and head home - to bed!!!!
BODY: I haven't been wearing my pedometer since I left, but I'm pretty sure the line dancing and the roaming the airport got me pretty close to 10,000 steps. But the best thing I did for my body was go to bed early and get a great night sleep.
MIND: I think I have been able to function on little sleep these past few days, because I have been so relaxed and spending time with great friends just give you a sense of peace.
Till Wednesday night.
Stacey
