Day 110- 255 Days to Go

GREY CUP SUNDAY
-somehow it's just not as exciting when there isn't a party and especially when there is no Grey Cup pool to win!!!!!! But the game was on whilst we continued on the with refurbishing of the house. Not new reburbishings but same ole. Got a few more pieces of furniture put back together. Need to run to Rona to pick up some missing pieces.
So I was cheering for Saskatchewan (it's a west thing) Bill and the son were cheering for Montreal. Only the son would put his money up for betting. I was elated after the first half that the Roughriders were ahead and was pretty sure I made an easy $5.00. But with 9 mintues left in the game and Montreal down my more than a touch down, I reminded the son that there was lots of time for Montreal to catch up. Seems I had more faith in the opposing team. Little did I know my positive energy would transfer to the Allouetes. Never in my history of watching football has the number 13 been so relavent.
For example:
There were thirteen participants at the Last Supper.
In Judisiam 13 signifies the age at which a boy matures.
There are 13 players in a rugy league team .
In Formula One, no driver has had the number 13 on his car since 1976.
The number of loaves in a "baker's dozen" .
There are traditionally thirteen steps leading up to a gallows.
In the television series House, Dr. Remy Hadley (Olivia Wilde) is nicknamed Thirteen, the number she was assigned in competition to fill the three vacancies in the title character's diagnostic team in Season 4.
Apollo 13 was the only unsuccessful mission by the United States of America intended to land humans on the moon.
The number 13 is associated with bad luck in some countries, and even has a specifically recognized phobia, Triskaidekaphobia, a word which was coined in 1911.
And you don't have 13 players from one team on the field during a Canadian Football Game.
Ok, easy to make a joke, but I'm certainly glad I'm not the one who didn't get the memo about who should be on the team. And I wouldn't want to be the player who was incorrectly on the field. This is probably not a good time to say "It's just a game!"

BODY: More pushing and moving; bending and leaning; stairs and vacuuming; climbing ladders and not falling off!! I'd say it was a muscle building day, more than a cardio day. Tomorrow I look for my pedometer with great fierce.

MIND: Line dancing practising and Guitar Hero; both of which worked on my mind skills. One with memory and the other with hand, eye coordination. I must admit Guitar Hero on a 60 inch TV is pretty impressive.

Bill's in bed and the son wants the computer. I guess this is good night.
