I almost wrote Day 12 of September. Where has the time gone?
The fall colors make going outside so enjoyable. Hope it lasts a little while longer.
Speaking of longer; what a weekend. I'm not sure what is worse - Bill gone all weekend golfing, or Bill home all weekend: Wait I do know!!!!!! I hope we as a family can survive 2 (possibly 4) more weeks of crutches. I know Bill is very frustrated about not being able to do things and especially at a faster pace. Deep breath Stacey, deep breath.
Patrick had a soccer game on Saturday. The first indoor game (exhibition mind you) of the season. And as per the course, it was way in the South. The Arsenal won. It was difficult to get back into the mind set of indoor play; and that was just for me as a fan; I can only imagine for the players. Patrick scored one of the goals. Both teams seemed a little unorganized, so it probably could have gone either way. Hopefully they pick up on each other's skills and make it work for the rest of the season.
I managed to get a couple of baby cards made (no names mentioned) and most of the laundry done in between.
Sunday I popped over to Mom's for a visit. For her birthday I am helping her send Christmas cards and a christmas letter. I just wanted to get her approval on the the letter. Had a nice visit with her neighbor Bev. She is a lovely lady and is always looking out for mom.
Came home and had a quick bite and then we headed off to the cemetery. Sure miss Mom Wee alot.
Supper was a work in progress. I had been at Costco and thought it would be a good idea to have dimsum for supper. So I bought a few different dishes. When it was time to start cooking, I got the steamer already, only to find out (from the son who actually read the packages) that everything needed to be baked. As delicious as it was, it was more worked than I anticipated. The food was good, and I think I would do it again for a group of people as a munchie type night.
There is another thing to take off my 50 list: Visit our old house in Westgate. I actually did this last November. I was early for a meeting so I went and toured the old neighborhood. It's funny, I don't have alot of memories from that house, even though we lived there 5 years. I actually have more memories from the next door neighbours; the Neilsens. So now I only have 45 more things to do!!!!!
Off to work on Christmas stuff.
