Day 10 of October

Yawwwwwn! Nothing like being woken up at 5:00 am to the sound of the house alarm going off!

Turned it off; did a check of the house; nothing out of the usual. Unfortunately for the next 2 hours Maya was pretty sure she needed to keep barking to scare off the "nothing unusual!"

The only logical explanations I could come up with for the surprise this morning was:

1) I noticed the Herald was sitting on the front porch, so maybe the paper man threw it too hard (it's not like it was a heavy paper though)

2) The radio said it is very windy outside - Chinook like conditions, so the winds could have cause a little havoc!

3) We could have ghosts - or maybe it was just Mom, coming to check on us because Bill's not around (that would explain Maya's refusal to give up barking)

4) Maybe the deer were eating my plants outside Ashley's bedroom window and bumped the window with their butt (or horns)

5) Maybe there was actually a burgular trying to get into the house ------NAW!!!!!



In any case, it made for a very long day! Dropped the son off at school and I headed into work. Thank goodness there were only 15 kids today instead of the usual 18!!! Busy morning, but fun. Then I had a text from Bill that he was ready to come home. The discharge nurse was so nice; she reminded Bill that he was to listen to me; and if he didn't I was to give him a swift kick; and take him to emergency and while there; ask for my shoe back. I love this lady.
So we came home and Bill headed straight to his office to finish up some paper work. That's relaxing for him. I on the other hand was in dire need of a nap!!!!! I'm such a wimp.

There was a message on the phone from Patrick's doctor's office. He needs to go in to discuss the results of his CT scan. They said it wasn't urgent - so he'll go in and discuss when he goes in for his physical! Sounds like good news to me!!!

I went into work at Chapters in the evening and then came home and just cleaned up and got ready for bed.
