Day 9 of October

The morning started with a short pity party! Didn't last too long - music wasn't great, company was ok; I guess one is entitled to one of these every now and then.
I had the opportunity to sleep in this morning, but the internal clock had me awake at 6:30. Patrick had his CT scan scheduled for 11:45. We had instructions to be there 30 minutes early, and we were. Actually we were there almost 45 minutes early. And I'm still in shock that we were in and out of there by 11:20. Took us longer to park and leave the parkade then it did for the actual test. The office was empty. What I don't understand is there is this long line up/waiting times for CT's, etc and yet, there was nobody in the waiting room the entire time we were there. I think there need to be some major scheduling adjustments.
So I dropped Patrick off at school, just in time to have lunch with friends. Seeing how I was near the Home Outfitters, I went and worked on the cards. Got a few other errands done before it was time to pick Patrick up from school and take him to work.
I figured this would be a good time to go and visit Bill. And it was. I got a little bit of a scare though. I walked into his room; his name was still on the door; but he wasn't there; he had been replaced by a tiny little chinese man. So I checked with the nurse station, and yes he had been moved. Turns out they needed his bed and Bill was moved to the overflow room - it used to be the patient/visitor lounge. On a positive note, he only has two room mates now instead of three. Bill said the American health system is starting to look pretty good about now. If everything goes well, Bill could be out by tomorrow; but I'll be giving him his blood thinner shots; great another job. He is getting a little bored; but he does look relaxed.
I left at supper time and headed back to pick up Patrick. Home at last.
This is going to be an early night for me.

Night all
Stacey
