I can't believe October is 1/2 over. Time just seems to fly by so fast.
Had a nice evening on Wednesday night. Went to a function at the manor where my Mom's lives. It was to celebrate the completion of all the construction that had taken place over the past few months. It was a "HoeDown!" My heart warms when I see some of these elderly people. There were munchies, cash bar and entertainment. First there was a family of fiddlers. There were pretty good. Then there was square dancing. I didn't think it would enjoyable, but I was impressed by the caller. She basically takes some regular music (for those of us who think country music is regular) and in addition to the lyrics, adds the instructions. I learned alot. For example, the reason couples dress alike is so that the "caller" can tell who belongs together, so by the end of the song, they can make sure the correct partners end up together. Well of course they were looking for volunteers to teach some of the residents. Somehow I got roped into going up (my arm is still bruised from the twisting) It is just as difficult as line dancing. You have to focus on what the caller is saying. I actually enjoyed it. What are the chances I could get Bill out to do square dancing in a year or two. You don't really have to have any rhythm!!
Today was working at the preschool. Small group again. I think the flu bug must already be hitting some of the kids, but the morning went fast anyways.
Patrick had fitness tonight so I car pooled with another family so I could have my car. Dropped in to Walmart and picked up some wool Going to try another project with the loom. Will keep you posted.
Bill is doing well. He's a little frustrated on the questions still; why, what where and when. But is coming to grips with this could be a lifetime thing.
So I have crossed off another thing on my 50 list. It has been 1 month since I quit drinking soda pop. I must say, I don't have the cravings any more. I have replaced it with sparkling water, but even then not a lot. Although my month is up, I may keep this up for a while longer. So now I only have 43 things left to do.
Off to start my knitting loom.
