What was I thinking????? Never accept a job offer while you have been attending a workshop that fills you with so much energy.
Now I realize there are people out there who actually work a full day, day in and day out. But it's been awhile for me. Attended to three different jobs today (of course not counting the wife and mother jobs - thanks for the reminder Robin) First it was the preschool. And who doesn't love working with black paint! Then is was a quick energy bar in the car and off to cards at Safeways. Normally I'm only in that store about 30 minutes, but it was a little longer today as a new order came in. Then I rushed home to change my clothes, give the Maya a hug, and back to pick up the son and head to soccer. The kids were a little bit older today so there weren't as many criers. In fact I think there was only one, but he got over it really fast - once his mom gave him a little pep talk. So the son and I finished up there and headed home. We both had a quick bite to eat - he went off to his soccer practice with my car - and I went to the couch to take a breather. An hour later, I woke up from my breather - a little startled but also a litte more energized. It's been a while since I got a nap in!!!!!
Now the day was full enough, but there is always paper work from each job. Actually none from the preschool - but the cards and soccer needed some fine tuning. Hence why I am still on the computer at 11:35 pm.
I can honestly say I am very much looking forward to the weekend. It will be 2 days filled with much needed relaxation.
Oh I had an exciting event today. As I am heading out to pick up Patrick from school, I stopped and got the mail first. One of the mail items was a small package from Ashley. At first I thought it was probably some bill to pay, but the packaging suggested something more significant. It had the appearance of a picture. And I was right. Not only did she send me some gorgeous pictures that she and a friend had taken, there was a short little note inside. This from MY DAUGHTER. I actually had tears come to my eyes. It was so unexpected - no hint ahead of time - nothing. My baby is growing up (and turning into a thoughtful young lady).
K that was my feel good moment.
Time to turn in - tomorrow is going to be busy again, but only two jobs to attend too.
Night
