Day 4 of October

I believe I forgot to mention on my previous blog - But going to see Brad Paisley was on my 50 list (there is also one more person I want to see in concert that is on my list) Anyway that is one more off the list - 44 to go.

Today was the busiest day ever and it didn't end on a positive note. Left the house at 8:00 am this morning and headed to the pre-school. I was covering for the other ed. assistant. Busy morning, but fun. Then I stopped in at co-op for a sandwich to eat in my car. I was off to pick up Sam and head to the college. We got a lot accomplished in class today. So I dropped Sam off at home around 3:45. Headed straight home and put some hamburgers on the BBQ. Bill had the day off, but was basically working from home. The son was taking a nap. Cleaned up a little bit from supper, then I had Patrick drop me off at Chapters around 5:45 to work on cards. He took the car to soccer practice. Now the plan was for Patrick to go home after practice, shower and pack, then come and pick me up from work and I would take him to Stefan's house. By 8:30 pm I was tired and ready to go home. I called the house to see if Patrick was on his way, and Bill said he left 5 minutes ago. So I stood outside Chapters in the beautiful fall weather and waited, and waited, and waited. I was starting to get a little worried - new driver and all. I wanted to call Patrick's cell, but didn't want him to even consider picking it up while he was driving. So I waited a little more. Finally I called to leave a message on his cell. Low and behold he answered. "Where are you?" I asked. "At Rogers Video with Stefan." Obviously I didn't get the memo of the addition to the plans. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper. I didn't think my tired body would have any room for grouchiness - but it did. I was trying to stay angry in the car, but with those two boys chatting it up and joking around, it was difficult. Lesson learned - don't depend on Patrick for a ride home, keep the car myself.

So now it's 10:30 and I am ready; actually more than ready for bed.

Good night
Stacey
