Day 5 of October

I obviously took the long weekend off of blogging. But I'm back. Short synopsis - Saturday - not much; Sunday had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at Karen and Ben's home. It was a great dinner, and great company. A fairly early night. Monday, Bill and I went to Swiss Chalet for dinner. I had a craving for their ribs. Patrick returned home around 10:00 pm; this was after his second Thanksgiving dinner that weekend.
Tuesday - is usually my work day, but Patrick had a doctor's appointment in the morning. It was one of those - lets get to know each other appointments. Talk about good timing. We were able to discuss the headaches Patrick has been having. The doctor mentioned that they sounded like "cluster headaches". Once I check that out on google, I'll be better informed. She is going to run a CT just to be safe. I would still like to know what brought them on. Then I dropped the son off at school and headed into work on cards at Safeways. Took a little long than I thought; but managed to get in a couple of quick errands before I had to pick Bill up at work. He had a 1:00 appointment to get his cast off - YEAH!!!! He actually thought I was going to drop him off, sit in the car and wait. Please! So I went in with him and watched them take the cast off. I'd be a little nervous about them cutting into my leg. Anyway the leg seems to be healing. They put a walking cast on with the instructions not to put any weight on it yet. What are the chances he'll listen this time?????
Today was my day to stay at home. The car needed it's oil changed, so Patrick dropped it off at the station right across from his school. I made a new recipe for supper and an old recipe. The new recipe was using up the left over ham from Thanksgiving. The old recipe was one I got from my friend De. It was for yams. Don't tell Ashley, because it is her favorite. It's more of a desert to me; taste just like pumpkin pie!!!! I didn't have any pecans - no anybody with a pecan farm??? It turned out great and was enjoyed by Bill and I.
There is another item to take off my 50 list. Last year I took Line Dancing lessons and that has been on my list for a long long time (even before I officially started a list) I had hope to start up again this year - but time is still a factor for me. (especially with the car sharing now)
So now I am down to 43 left out of 50.

Off to read a little.

Night
Stacey
