One of those surprise Mondays!!!! But a good surprise - sort of.
Got up and got the grocery shopping done and home by 8:30 am again! I love that Superstore is open at 7:00. Too bad it wasn't that way when the kids were little and I'd drop them off at school. Would have saved a lot of wasted time.
So got home, got the groceries put away; marinated the BBQ pork and the salmon; made the rice and vegetables. All the while, baking Bill's chocolate chip cookies.
Then I got the email. Was I available to work the MVP camp today. The mother in me wanted to teach a lesson about leaving everything til the last minute; but the teacher(ish) in me wanted to go and work with the little kids at soccer again. So was teaching the lesson worth my misery - NOT. Quickly finished the cookies; got supper made and headed to pick up the son from school.
Fun afternoon, and a nice supper out with the other volunteers and staff! Thanks Glenn.
Then a nice surprise by running into Ray and Linda and Sarah at Chianti's. It's Ray's birthday today - the big 50. I think I ruined the surprise for Friday though. Really, is going to watch strippers such a big surprise. K, John, you're going to have to come up with something better.
BODY: 18,400 steps - grocery shopping and soccer will do that.
MIND: Louise Hay "Love opens every door."
Good night
