I can't remember the last time I went shopping at Superstore on a Saturday. Wait, that's not true. I may not remember the exact day, but I remember from the experience thinking, I will never shop at Superstore on a Saturday again. Well, I caved. I had to pick up some items for supper tonight so I wanted to wait and see the Superstore flyer, which we get with the Saturday morning paper. To my surprise and glee, there was a $25.00 coupon with a $250.00 purchase. I figured I wouldn't have trouble getting to that amount seeing how I needed a couple of roasts and salmons. I was there by 8:30 am and to my surprise, it was quite empty. Managed to get in and out and home in less than an hour. Quite a productive and enjoyable shopping experience.
So spent the morning preparing stuff for supper (marinating, washing, cleaning up) Managed to have a quick rest on the bed before cleaning up. I asked Bill if he had taken Maya for a walk yet. Maya went beserk. I'm not when she figured out what W-A-L-K meant, but I will have to be much more careful before speaking the word.
So had a lovely dinner with family tonight. The Traynors from Ireland were visiting. They arrived Friday and were kind enough to join the Wee's for dinner. It's amazing how some people never change. Brian's mom and sister in law, look the same as they did six years ago. Only the kids seem to be getting older. Everyone was gone by 10:00 ish.
Thank you to Auntie Anne for reminding us about Earth Hour. It is surprising how much extra electricity you use and don't even realize it.
BODY: 20,000 steps today. That's not a typing error. 20,000. Did a lot of up and down the stairs in addition to the quick shopping trip.
