I can't believe March is almost over. It came in like a lamb, so no doubt, it will be leaving like a lion! Today was a little cold, but obviously not too cold because the persipitationwas in the form of rain and not snow!!!
I worked at the preschool this morning. I was covering for the other teacher assistant. What a difference in kids. There are a few kids on M/W/F that also come T and Th. but for the most part it's a different dynamic. Of course these are the four year olds, so they are a little bit older, but despite having 16 kids in the class, it was a quiet morning. Betty Ann did say it was a little unusual and a couple of kids were missing. Brought a couple of things home to work on as I am off for the week for spring break.
Had 45 minutes between playschool and working with Sam so I stopped for lunch. Had great intentions to bring my lunch, but of course ran out of time. So I stopped at McD's. I ordered a diet coke. I was doing so well. But I was in dire need of caffine to keep me awake. Didn't work too well, I was still pretty tired in the afternoon. Sam and I finished class in an hour. Sam is ahead of the game, so after the test, we just headed out. That gave me time to grab a quick nap at home and then finishing washing the kitchen floor.
Had an interesting moment downtown with Sam. Actually more of a pleasant surprise. As Sam and I were walking to the car, we stopped at the lights to wait to cross. There was a man in front of us. He was dressed casual, walked with a slight limp, and when he noticed Sam and I were behind him at the lights, he apologized profusely and moved 5 feet away. He was smoking and was being courteous. At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but he turned out to be quite sincere. I was impressed.
Then driving home I had one of those chuckle moments. We were driving through Kensington, and there is a restaraunt with a street sign. I see it every time we drive by, and it always makes me giggle. It's called "Wok and Roll." Now you would think after being immersed in the cuture, that would seem normal to me, but it gets me everytime.
Still feeling lots of positive energy (for the most part) I try to take any negative I receive from people and flip it as soon as I can or at least bounce it off myself.
I am on the last tape of Ellen Burstyn and she talks about a book by Raymond Moody called Life After Life. I've put it on hold at the library. That's my next book to read.
BODY: Over 12,000 steps today. Took the stairs at college - but for the second straight time, I caught my toe on the step and fell up a couple. It's getting embarrasing.
MIND: Louise Hay "I love my body." Today anyway!!!
Good night
Stacey
