I shouldn't have left everything til the last minute. Busy, busy day. Preschool in the morning for class pictures; 21 kids, some siblings and parents made for a hectic room. Then it was off to the dollar store for a few decorations. Ran home quickly to change out of uncomfortable clothes and into "rest of the day" clothes. Then up the hill to the Hamptons school. Lunchroom in the classrooms and the kids were great. Not sure what the others are talking about when they say the grade ones will eat you up!!!!!! Ran into Mrs Bill at the school. She was there to sign her new book. I really must get my copy so I can get it signed!.
Next stop - work with Sam. Formally met a young man in the class. Again I really have to watch my judgement of people. I should know better than that. Anyway the young man turned out to be a polite, very on top of things, kind of guy.
Most people would head home after a day like this, but my errands weren't finished. Popped into Co-op to get some extra stuff and then it was off to the soccer dome to pick up the son. Didn't really have time to grab a nap in the car; barely enough time to run in and use the bathroom.
Finally home - there is no way I'm going to get everything done in time. Thank goodness Barbra Streisand showed up early. She was so much help. Next to arrive was Dianna Ross. Haven't seen her in a couple of weeks. We were still chit chatting upstairs when Donna Summer and Beyonce showed up. Beyonce had a new hair cut and looked great. Donna brought chocolates. We decided to take the party downstairs when Carly Simon andCher waltzed in with cheesecake no less. Carly knows my weaknesses.
We waited a little while - no actually it was a couple hours later - no where near 7:30ish - more like 9:30ish Brittney Spears and Stevie Nicks showed up. Kudos that they brought their own classes and ice cubes.
So we sang a little, drank a little, ate a little and sang some more. Now I'd like to say I won the competition, but Carly Simon beat of Taylor Swift by a large amount. Normally, I wasn't going to annouce that, but Carly and Cher alreayd threatened to make the claim on this very blog. I didn't want to come out looking like - say Tiger Woods - caught in a lie.
It was a fun evening and it's close to 1:30 am and I am having a little difficult keeping my eyes open. Thanks for a fun time: Robin, Anne, Jane, Karen, Rose, Dawn, Shaunan and Allanah.
BODY: Didn't have my pedometer one, but I'm pretty sure with all the running around today, plus up and down the stairs all night, I must be over 10,000 steps.
MIND: As my margarita glass says " I have to keep you as a friend, you know tooo much." To a great group of ladies.
Good night (after Lost)
Stacey
