Day 143 - 222 Days to Go

Exciting Day for Me - the ocd in me is liking the 222 number. I know, weird; but honest. Sometimes thats how I spend my time on the treadmill; waiting for the next neat number (yes I said neat) like I do 30 minutues usually and so 2222, 1111, 2121, 1212, 1010, 654, 543, etc - you get the picture. All the time playing little mind games. Ok, enough about my little "quirks." (De you can stop laughing)
Also decided I wanted to give a shout out to all my followers - all 5 of them. Actually, there may be more, but I'm going by the people who have left me comments over the past 143 Days.
Hi to De, and Cheryl, Robin, and Alisa, Shaunan (didn't misspell it this time) Darcy, Sue, Karen, Wayne, Rachelle, hmmm, I think that's it. If there are more, and I have forgotten, I apologize. If there are more and I haven't heard from you----probably better that way!!!!

I'm in the process of putting together a compilation of all my poems, stories that I have written over the years (sounds like I'm on my last leg) There are some eulogy's, some toasts, some stories, and many many poems. I thought I would share some on my blog, while I'm doing this. (and they are not in any particular order)

Dinner Party Invitation
January 1st, 2004

Greetings friends, it’s us the WEE’S
We’re here to let you know
We’re hosting the next dinner party
Come rain, or sleet or snow.

The date is January 31st
The theme was picked by me.
So practice with those chopsticks kids,
That’s right we’re going to do Chinese.

The three of you, Lynn, De, and Rose.
Can decide on what to bring.
Say dessert, the drink an appetizer,
Like rolls with a little spring.

The date and place have now been set
We must decide a time
So when I’ve got my act together,
I’ll finish out this rhyme.

There was a group of families that lived in the Hamptons, The Flotts, Stasuiks, Bowrons, Wee's and I can't remember if Halls were there or not. Well we started this monthly dinner party thing. I don't recall how many times we actually got together. Do you De? Anyway, it didn't last too long - it's hard to keep a group together where there are more differences than simularities I think. I know it shouldn't happen, but it does. It was fun while it lasted.

As you've probably guessed today was a pretty lazy day, hence the babbling. I did manage to get out of my PJ's, but only to shovel the driveway. And he biggest news: the son helped me download some songs on the PS3. I am a singing Diva now. There's whitney houston, billy ocean, rick astley, boy george, elvis, don maclean.....cher.

BODY: Despite all the work I did today (not), I only got 7000 steps in, but the night is not over - there is laundry to finish and line dancing to practice.

MIND: Louise Hay "I trust my inner wisdom!" yes I do. It's nice to be at a place in your life and to have that feeling.

Good Night and Hello 2010

Stacey

  1. Yes, I remember those dinner parties. I enjoyed them while it lasted. Did I tell you? I saw Lynne at Dianne's jewelry party. Couldn't envite you come with me as you were in Dallas. Lynne hasn't changed much. She still looks great. Young and thin.

By the way...you are so gifted in writing; poems, invites, letters, stories. It's nice to see that you embrace it and share it with all of us. Rlo
