One more day and the weekend is here. I'm not sure why that excites me. It's not like I get to just relax and do fun stuff!!!!! I don't even have regular work hours, so it must be something that has been programmed into my brain from long ago.
I woke up around 4:00ish this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Came down to watch a bit of TV, and after much frustration, finally got the thing working. That's when my ahhh-haa moment happened. Two weeks ago at line dancing, there were a few of us ladies that were a little early. We were standing around talking and the topic of good books came up. One of the ladies mentioned a book called "Three Cups of Tea." I had never heard of it before, but it is about one man's mission to promote peace, one school at a time in a worn torn country. I thought, "Ok, that is a book I get into when I am finished my current books." Anyway, back to watching tv at 4:00 in the morning. I turn on and finally decide to watch "The Hour" on CBC. The host "George"............ous was introducing his first guest. I don't remember the author's name, but his book was called "Three Cups of Tea." Hmmmm. I guess I should go and get that book sooner than later.
The son had another physio appointment today, but this one was at 8:00 in the morning. Needless to say, we both had to get up a little earlier than we wanted. The hip-flexer is almost back to it's useful self. Dropped the son off at school so he could get some extra studying time in for his social test and I headed off to work. I was only 15 minutes late, if that.
After work I just headed home for a quick nap (from being up since 4:00 in the morning), made supper and finally got caught up on paper work. Picked the son up from soccer (we car pooled this evening), took two other players home (my stomach is still sore from laughing at the antics of these three boys.) and now I'm finishing up this blog and heading to bed. No early mornings for me tomorrow.
BODY: I was craving something sweet when I left to pick up the son. I knew there was once nanimo bar left in the freezer, but instead I grabbed an apple. Yeah -- but I'm still craving that darn nanimo bar. Maybe for a treat tomorrow.
MIND: This quote is in the book"Three Cups of Tea." In addition, the author repeated on "The Hour" this morning. "Educate a boy, and you educate an individual. Educate a girl, and you educate a community. African proverb via Greg Mortensen "
Good night
Stacey
