Day 154 - 211 Days to Go

January 12th already. The month is almost half over!!!! The weather has finally been warm here. We're not used to going too many days without a chinook.
Worked this morning. The kids are great. They keep me on my toes. I left in such a rush, that I forgot my winter boots at work. Hopefully they'll still be there on Thursday. It is a church afterall! Headed home and got the salmon marinating. I took a quick dip in the hot tub to warm up and of course that lead to me needing a nap. In stead of laying in on the bed, I thought I would try out the new recliners. Oh My Goodness. I may be sleeping there on my insomniac nights (if I could only figure out how to work the new TV system)
Got supper ready and then headed off to my line dancing lessons. I dressed in jeans today, as I had to go out afterwards. Bad idea. I don't know how some of these ladies wear such heavy clothes. I was peeling off layers after every dance. Quickly ran out the door at 7:00 so I could get over to the soccer dome for the son's 7:00 game. Got some great directions from Mr. Ellis on how to get to the south dome from Strathcona. I should have paid attention more closely. Ended up taking a couple of long detours (I guess thats was detours are afterall) Did a little trip through Ogden. Then I though ErinWoods was a nice trip. Finally got back on track and made it in time to see the last six minutes of the game. Better late than never. It took longer for the son to get out of the dressing room. Get a little bit of paper work done and I'm off to bed. Reading another great book. Five People You meet in Heaven.
No poem tonight, as I'm going to spend some time talking about people I want to meet in heaven.
BODY: I didn't wear my pedometer today, but usually Tuesdays I have no problem getting in my 10,000 steps or more. Especially since I'm working with the kids in the morning and line dancing in the evening. I did take the nice soak in the hot tub, which was very relaxing.

MIND: I mentioned I'm reading the book "Five People you Meet in Heaven" It got me to thinking of who I would like to meet in Heaven. It doesn't necessarily have to be the obvious people, such as my dad, my mom in law. So I spent last night giving it some thought. One person would be my Grandpa Fraser. I don't remember a whole lot about him, but he seemed like a very scary man. I was very young when he passed away; maybe 11 or 12. I would like to find out exactly what he thought of us kids and ask if he even liked us. The second person is Michael Gee. He passed away way too young. I remember having conversations with his mom Shirley. The kids were young and we spoke about how we couldn't imagine out children not out living us. Third person would be my Grandma Fraser. I would want to ask her one question. While she was in the hospital, after having a stroke, people kept saying she wouldn't last much longer. But she did. I finally got a chance to go visit her. She was in the Sundre hospital. The day after I visited her, she passed away. I always wondered if she waited for me to come and see her. The fourth person would be my grade three music teacher, Miss Walker. She too was a scary lady. I remember we were learning how to play the recorder. I was a very shy and obedient student at that age. Many of the kids in the class were blowing on their recorders. She asked them to stop and said that the next person that blew on their recorder would have it taken away and they would have to sit in the hall. Well there was a boy sitting in front of me, and he made a joke; I snorted and unfortunately the recorder was close to my nose. And you guessed, it made a sound. I tried to explain but she wouldn't hear of it. I remember being devastated! I would want to explain to her how I felt. And I guess the last would be "Elvis Presley." I would like to find out if he ever came back as someone else (not sure if that's possible using the heaven scenario). Also, how he felt about his daughter and her accomplishments. I remember hearing about when he died. I was and am a die hard fan. I loving watching his old movies. He's so handsome and just has this sex appeal that makes your heart swoon.
I'm sure if I thought about it more, I could come up with a longer list. But for now, those are my out of the ordinary choices.

Off to bed to read.
Night
