Where did this cold weather come from. This was not what I expected on a Friday. I guess it could be worse.
Had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. Maybe it had something to do with a late night again last night, or the dreary weather. Anyway it took me awhile to get my motor running and by the time I did, it was time for work.
Had a great afternoon with Sam. When it was time to leave, I ran to get the car, and told her I would meet her downstairs. When I pulled up to the building, Sam wasn't there and she usually is. I know the elevators can be slow, so I waited and waited. I waited for what seemed like 3o minutes, but in actual fact it was only 10 minutes. Just as I was thinking of phoning Sam on her cell, she came out of the building with a "menacing" look on her face. I asked her if the elevator was slow again. "No," she replied, "It got stuck!" The way my heart was racing, you would have thought it was me that got stuck on that elevator. But Sam was calm, just annoyed. I felt bad for Sam that she was stuck on the elevator with strangers, but my inner selfishnish and anxiety ridden person was relived that I wasn't on it. There is a reason I take the stairs. She said the loudspeaker came on and said the elevator was stuck and they were working on it!!!!!!! Thanks for taking one for the team Sam.
So I came home and thought of having a nap, but by the time I cleaned up and put stuff away, supper needed to be made for Bill. Chilli on a bun was all my imagination could come up with today. As soon as Bill walked in the door at 6:00, I was off for a quick nap.
The remained of the evening was pretty much uneventful. I did take a look at a few job opportunities. There was a position at the Citadal school - and the hours were perfect, but my heart won't let me leave the pre-school mid way through the year. Maybe I can find something to fill in the extra hours (not full time mind you)
I did deal with a few emails from my in box. I never delete an email until it has been dealt with. I still had one from November from Mrs. Bill. She was the son's grade one teacher. She had mentioned she was having a children's book published. So of course I did the easiest thing to find out the details, I googled her. Her book is published and on it's way out to book stores. I am so proud of this lady. She is an amazing woman, and has inspired me to get back working on my book of poems. Hopefully we can meet soon for lunch.
BODY: 10,000 steps today - and I took the steps at work........5 flights up and 5 flights down.
MIND: Louise Hay "Patience is being at peace with the process of life." This one takes a lot of practise.
Good Night
Stacey
