Day 148 - 217 Days to Go

This was supposed to be my productive day. Not as productive as I would have liked! I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. Tired - yes; no energy - yes; blues - not really. I did get up at 7:00 and have breakfast, but went back to bed, and dreamed and every time I woke up from a dream, I'd say to myself "Time to get up!" But my body wouldn't listen. Maybe all the dreams stopped me from having a good sleep. I must remember to start recording my dreams again. I put my dream book somewhere...... Like 2009 there are dreams in there I would never have remembered, but when you write them down, you remember exactly what happened!!!

The son had soccer tonight. Had a chance to play up on a men's team. So many differences and yet so similar. It doesn't get any easier to watch. These guys play hard, kick hard, hit hard and take no guff. Similar to U18 playing except, the ref in U18 calls them on more of these hits. All in all, I think the son enjoyed it. It was a fast game.

Poem/story: Usually at Christmas I send a letter or poem with my cards. In 2007, Maya did our letter.
A CHRISTMAS WISH FROM MAYA

2007 has been a very busy year in the Wee house this year. This is why I am in charge of the annual Christmas letter. That and the fact that I am so darn cute (beauty is in the eye of the beholder),
Where to start – How about me! I turned 1 in March (we won’t even get into dog years!) My adoptive parents (whom I now call Mom and Dad) took a trip in May to visit my ancestral home, Guadalajara, Mexico. Rumor had it that they might come home with a puppy baby sister or brother for me. Dad must have behaved himself, because the only souvenir they brought back was something called “Tequila.”
My sister Ashley graduated from grade 12 in June. I got to play with her all summer. Then at the end of August she and Dad took a trip to Peterborough, Ontario. Only Dad came home. It is my understanding that she decided to stay in Peterborough (as opposed to being left there) and do more schooling at some place called Trent University. She came back to visit me at Thanksgiving, and she will be coming back at Christmas time too. I can’t wait. Her room has been too clean, and I have missed my morning cuddling into her pile of clothes on the floor. Her horse (and my brother from another mother) Mac is being leased, but will be up for sale soon. (I hope Mom never gets to busy that she puts me up for sale.)
My brother Patrick is in Grade 9 this year. He has gotten soo tall. I have to be very careful that he doesn’t step on me with those size 11 ½ feet. I attended many of his outdoor soccer games this year. Even though I am still pretty small, Mom says I can’t go to the indoor soccer games. Maybe they’ll take me to some soccer tournaments in December and February. When I really need cuddles, I’ll sneak into his room, but his pile of clothes doesn’t always smell the greatest!
Dad has been the busiest of us all. I hardly saw him all summer. He started two new jobs. One is with a new oil company called Galleon Energy. The other job is called “golf.” They really work him hard at “golf.” Because he hardly came home for supper, and sometimes he had to go to work at “golf” twice a day.
Mom got to play with me all summer too. Then in September she went back to work, and I got a lot of new toys. Most of the time she leaves in the morning after breakfast, and comes home at lunch time.
That is pretty much our year in a “doggy bone.” On behalf of our family, I hope you have a happy and healthy holiday
.

BODY: Got in over 14,000 steps. Probably from practising my line dancing this afternoon

MIND: Louise Hay "I know that every day is only a stepping stone on my pathway." I really like this affirmation.

Early night I hope
Good night
Stacey
