Day 144 - 221 Days to Go

The last Saturday of the Holiday Season, and technically the holiday is over - soccer started back up today. CMSA tournament. I attended game one in the afternoon. I'm not a good soccer spectator. I wish so much for the boys and my heart can't take it. Although it is much easier to be critical from the sideline. I wouldn't want to be the player missing a shot or hit or I wouldn't want to be the ref. who is expected to see every single infraction!!! Robin joined me and although she came with a reserved demeanor, she was getting into the tension towards the end. I just close my eyes!!!!!
Bill went to the evening game. Although the outcome was better, apparently the boys did not play well. How bad you ask? Well if you have my son as a Facebook friend, you'll know how bad. Now I am glad he has me as a friend. But I'm not fond of the language that is sometimes used. I try to understand "their" frustrations", but really what does swearing do (expecially the f***ing word) See I can't even type it. So I asked him to remove it, but once it's on, well it's on. So I said my piece, and now I'm going to try and see it from his view! Nope, not seeing it. The next best think I could do was look up the definition. Why does that word offend me. According to Google (and we all know I now have reservations about google after the egg fiasco), the word f***ing in this context is actually just an informal intenisfier. So instead of typing "f***ing embarrasment", he could have typed "quite an embarrasment" "rather an embarrasment" "extremely an embarrasment" Hmmm. I guess the latter words don't give the same intensity. Even "frigin" embarrasment has a joking tone to it. So I'm still not ok, with the terminology, but I certainly understand the frustration!!!!! But trust me son, once you start using words (bad or good, or annoying) on a regular basis, it becomes a habit.
Now if he'd only read my blog regularily, I'd save my voice!!!!!!

Yesterday I forgot to give a hi out to Janice, one of my best peeps! (one of those annoying words I guess)

So today is the 2nd of my poems. When we lived in Estevan, I was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. Met some great ladies and kept some great friends. When you're new in town, and it's a small town, it's a great way to meet people. We had some great outings. From car rally's, to christmas parties, to kidnap breakfasts, to secret sisters, to conventions in North Dakota. Anyway when I left, I sent a gift to the chapter along with this little note:

Greetings Sigma Chapter
This time of year has come.
I hope you’ll have a toast on me,
With the egg nog and the rum.

Sorry I can’t be with you
I know we’d have a ball.
I’m always thinking of you’s.
Merry Christmas one and all.

BODY: Didn't wear the pedometer today. But I did some better: I showered, dressed up, styled my hair (need that haircut soon), put on make up. Haven't done that in a few days. Slumming around the house has been my "dress of choice."

MIND: Louise Hay: "Forgiveness is a gift to myself. I forgive, and I set myself free."

Goodnight
Stacey
