Day 150 - 215 Days to Go

TGIF - Not that I did a lot during the week, but I feel like this weekend is really needed. I worked this afternoon with Sam. I had hope to meet up with Alisa and Caylee downtown, but it was not to be. Alisa was visiting where Sam and I were, but the elevators there are a disaster, so we missed by nano seconds. Next time Alisa! Just as well, Sam and I had a test to take; nouns, pro-nouns; singular, plural. Not my best subject through out my school years. I almost feel like I am getting a second chance at my missed education. Thanks for letting me tag along Sam.
After I dropped Sam off at home, I headed over to the soccer dome. APEX on Fridays don't you know. I am really getting "$#(*)&%" - not sure of the word I'm looking for.....fed up; Exhausted is the word I'm looking for. Exhausted with soccer. Which is really weird cause I don't even play. I enjoy most of the people and certainly have my favorites and my not so favorites. I love watching the son play and seeing his enthusiasm. I hope he gets where he wants to go with this passion and it brings him all that he wants!!! So dropped off a couple of the son's friends, then dropped the son off at Stefans. I tried to have a nap on the couch, but Bill was wanting to watch a movie and I guess my feet were in the way!!! Just as well. So I went and watched a little tv upstairs, finished my Andre Aggasi book and nibbled on some pop corn. Then it happened, I got hooked on You-Tube. I started watching Jackie Chan (seen him on the Ellen show today). He is quite a nice singer. So started with Jackie; that took me to Chris Michael Jackson; which took me to Chris Tucker; which led me to The Bonnie Hunt Show; where I seen the handsome Mark Harmon and Carl Reiner; who were discussing Bonnie Hunt's mom. And that is where I ended up "watching Bonnie Hunt talk to her Mom" I got so caught up, it is now 2:00 am and I'm not in bed yet. If you ever feel down, or just want a good ole' belly laugh, watching those two together is priceless.

Ok, I guess I forgot my poem/story yesterday. Some unknown fan (probably known) reminded me. Ooops sorry. So today is a letter that I wrote to a local newspaper in Estevan, Sask. We were getting ready to move back to Calgary, and I wanted to let people know what great ladies they had in their community.

Dear Editor

I wanted to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to a group of individuals. They have made this past year in Estevan an exceptional and memorable one. I am speaking of the ladies of the Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. When it was decided that Estevan would be our next home, I was relieved to find out that Estevan indeed had their own chapters of Beta Sigma Phi.
We were still living out of suitcases when I received a phone call from the then Vice-President of Sigma Chapter, and advised that although the Chapter was on the summer break, they were aware I was new in town and were looking forward to getting together during the summer and at the start of the Chapter year in September.
Well it has been just over a year since I joined Sigma and I feel like I have made a circle of special friends. They accepted me and my family and treated us as if we were amongst their “oldest and dearest” friends. Their warmth and sincerity has touched me dearly and I will truly miss each and every one of them.
Estevan, you should be proud and honored to have such a great group of ladies as your citizens. They are a great asset to your City.
To my Sigma sisters, thank you for welcoming me.

Your Sister in Calgary

BODY: Got in 7000 steps today. Took the stairs at work (5th floor) this afternoon (except for once) Now that I know where they are located, that's what I'll be doing.

MIND: During my You Tube surfing, I was listening to Michael Jackson sing the Man in the Mirror. Great lyrics to that song. Below is a sample. I've shortened them somewhat because it really is a long song. You can always google if you want to know them.
"Man In The Mirror"
I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .now
I'm Starting With The Man InThe Mirror
I'm Asking Him To ChangeHis Ways
And No Message Could HaveBeen Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The WorldA Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself, AndThen Make A Change
I've Been A Victim Of A SelfishKind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With NoHome,
Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,.....

Night (really really late night)
Stacey
