Day 315 - 50 Days to Go

What a day---- Last day of preschool. Then there was the preschool party this evening at the church. Major technical difficulties with the slide show I prepared. I should have insisted on a dress rehersal earlier in the day. I will remember for next time. But thanks to an error on my part, we managed to make our way through without anyone the wiser. It was great to finally meet most of the parents. I was amazed and shocked on how appreciative the parents were. I guess I can get rid of the D.D. nick name.
Worked the Hamptons at noon. You can sure tell it's the last week of school. The kids are getting faster and louder each day. They must be looking forward to the summer just as much as the teachers and aides.
I had a "dodododoo" moment driving from the preschool to the Hamptons school. I had the radio on 103 and was listening to an oldie song. It brought back a lot of memories from Junior High. It also made me think of another song from the same time frame. I used to use my sister's microphone and amp and sing to this song along with the 45 record. It was called "Afternoon Delight". So I'm driving, the song is over I go searching on radio stations - the second station I go by is 106. something - and the song it is playing is "Afternoon Delight!" So that's amazing in itself, but then when it is over, I'm still driving and searching radio stations and I can't find the 106 station again. My radio won't pick up the transmission. If that's not a freaky ahaha moment, then I don't know what is.
Anyway got home from the Hamptons and worked on a couple of things for the playschool. That's when the storm hit. There was thunder; there was lightening; there was rain; there was hail; there was one very frightened puppy in the house. Poor Maya, she was so scared, she even let the son pick her up and take her in the basement. The report later on the radio said there were funnel clouds spotted in and around Calgary.

BODY: I wore my fancy new flip flops today, so no pedometer, but with all the walking and carrying stuff up and down stairs at the preschool, I'm pretty sure I am way over my 10,000 step goal.

MIND: Billy Dean "Let them be little, cause they're only that way for a time; give them hope, give them praise, give them love everyday......" This was the song I played with the slide show. It just seems to fit so many occasions.

Good Night
Stacey
