Day 180 - 185 Days to Go

Well that weekend went fast. Two day weekend - two day course. Although, I must admit, this is the best First Aid Course I have ever taken, and I have taken 5 or 6. The first time I took a course was when the daughter was one and we had moved to Lloydminster. You take in a lot of information, but I remember learning that it wasn't a good idea cleaning out an eye with a kleenex. (or don't clean your glasses with kleenex) Why? Because kleenex is a paper product, paper products are made with wood, and if you put it in your eye, well......enough said.
But the class this past weekend was very informative. I think it mostly had to do with the instructor. At know time was the class ever boring or dry. It got a little long winded sometimes, but that was from one particular girl (young lady) who although she was there to get her certificate, knew it all. For example, I didn't know the medical difference between a heart attack and an angina!!! Now I do - I mean what physically happens. I relearned my ABC's, and other basics. And during my mock scenario, I learned that if someone is walking around dazed and confused and their sleeve is covering their hand - look and see if they are missing a hand. We each had to do scenario's and are group had 4 people in Sobey's with different ailments. Thank goodness I didn't get the 15 year old boy(who was supposed to be a girl) giving birth. But I did miss the missing hand (no pun intended) Did I mention some of the students were acting as observers and were getting in the way. Boy it sure makes you think fast on your feet. All in all, a great course and lots retained (when in doubt call 911)
Came home early (thank you Mustang - really that's his name - because he signed the certificate that way). Put a pizza in the oven and after supper Bill took the son to soccer practice. Then we sat down to watch the Super Bowl Game. Not sure who I wanted to win. I like the New Orleans team because of the "struggle" that city has had, but the colts team had the nicer of the uniforms (superficial, I know). Didn't really matter, because I missed most of the game - sleeping, and missed Bill picking up the son. Had our Sunday family meeting and got the week all organized, along with my meals for the week. It worked last week, so will try it again.
Hopefully Bill will be finished his movie in time for the son and I to watch at least one episode of LOST!!!

BODY: Took my own lunch again today and avoided any junk food. Tuna, banana, apple, and walnuts. Did I mention there was a DQ right next door to our class - didn't tempt me once.

MIND: I'm quitting soccer!!!! Let me clarify. I'm still manager and will be till the end of in-door-season. I don't mind that actual work of the manager. Unless absolutely necessary, (and if the son needs me, )I have no intention of attending any more indoor anything!!!!!) This was of course not the result of one single incident, but there was the straw that broke the camel's back, and it affected the son. I felt bad for him. If you have issues with me, talk to me. If you have issues with the son, talk to the son. But any issues between the son and myself are just that, our issues. And listening to a private conversation constitutes heresay!!!!! So I feel better just getting it off my chest!!!

No quotes or jokes tonight. Just peace and relaxation!!!!

Night
