I love the Miley Cyrus song "Party in the U.S.A. - much to the son's disappointment. Apparently Miley is not cool. Unfortunately she is one of those singers that did so well as a young girl's entertainment, that she is going to have difficulty transferring over into the older teen, young adult fans. David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, Susan Dey, Britney Spears, Donny Osmond, just to name a few that had the same difficulty. I wonder why Michael Jackson never seemed to struggle with that transition. Anyway, hopefully Miss Miley can avoid the fame pitfalls that come with music path she is choosing.
Back to reality. Glad to get back to work today. It was a large class - 16 kids. I don't think there have been that many since I started working there. Talk about a small world. There was a mom and her son came into observe. I used to work with the lady at the preschool in the Boys and Girls Club. Then she left on maternity leave. Then last year, I got her on at PREP. Now she is looking for a preschool for her little guy. One more thing comes full circle.
As soon as I got home, the daughter took the car (it used to be called my car) and went out for lunch with a friend. I thought I grab a quick nap, but between Maya and the daughter, I don't think I actually closed my eyes for more than 10 mintues at a time.
Took the son to APEX and decided to work on my baskets while there. I skipped line dancing tonight. My instructors were going to be away and there was just going to be review. I'll do my own review tomorrow. Made my life much easier for driving purposes. The daughter took the car again this evening to do some tumbling. Luckily for her (and me in this case) the son had fitness at the same time and same place. I got out of driving.
BODY: Got in my 10,000 steps today. Will try and get in another 1000 before bed. (or on my way to bed)
MIND: Louise Hay "I open new doors to life." and sometimes I let other people come through them with me.
Good night
Stacey
