Day 124 - 241 Days to Go

It's Sunday and the temperature is unbelievable - it's minus 28 and with the wind chill it feels like minus 38. This has been going on for a few days now. Usually we get a chinook to break up the cold. It could be worse, we could live at the North Pole with Santa. The good news is they are predicting 0 by Friday.
Got a few errands done today. First stopped off at my mom's to deliver her some Christmas bags, tissue paper and money. I'm not sure if she would have rather gone out or not. Hard to tell with this cold weather. Then it was off to Royal Oak shopping. Picked up a couple of more Christmas presents, candy canes (explain later) and ink for my printer. Next stop was Becon Hill. Needed some red pompoms, brown pipe cleaners and google eyes. By now you've probably figured out I would be making candy cane reindeer. 150 of them to be exact. Wait I think I ate three in total (broken of course) I started wanting to make some for the kids at school, then decided I would make them for the kids at soccer on Monday. But then decided that wouldn't be fair to the kids at soccer on Tuesday, so I made lots. I only managed to burn my fingers 3 times with the glue gun. Unfortunately one time was really, really hot and I accidentally blurted out a #@@(^(*& word. The son looked up so fast, I didn't even have time to pretend it wasn't me!!!! Sorry. At least I finished them all.

Today was the start of our family planned Sunday suppers again. We had broiled lobster tail, and this new pasta dish. Both we delicious, but the pasta was really filling. I guess that will be our supper again tomorrow night. Bill said he has Christmas lunches all week, so small or no supper is fine for him for the week.

Five more days and Ashley will be home. I hope the weather is nice on Friday as we are driving to Kananaskas for Bill's Christmas party and the son has a soccer game that night. Hopefully if the roads are good the daughter can drive the son.

K, need to finish off the laundry, put the glue gun away and climb into my PJ's. Busy day tomorrow (that house cleaning stuff)

BODY: Just over 10,000 steps. Mostly from walking the stores I'm sure. Plus I had two cups of tea tonight. I've discovered lemon and honey in my tea. Usually I drink it black, but not any more.
