Day 134 - 231 Days to Go

Can't remember, is it Tuesday, or Wednesday. Must be Wednesday, cause the son is finished helping with the soccer camps.
Got quite a bit done today. I had one Christmas present to finish making. Actually, I thought I had already started it, but turns out, I had barely made a dent. I spent a good part of yesterday looking for this 1/2 finished project. Turns out I hadn't started the actual project, only the prep work. My lovely daughter used her artistic talent and helped me finish. I love how she can think so creatively so fast. She takes after her auntie robin. I remember when the daughter and I made up a song about Auntie Robin.
On top of ol' smokey
All covered with plants
Lived a lady named Robin
She's my favorite Aunt
Now she says I'm doofey
And I can concur
Cause everyone tells me
I take after her.

We made that up when we were living in Estevan. The daughter couldn't say goofy and she'd call Auntie Robin doofey. One Christmas Auntie Robin made her an outfit. The pants were disney material with goofey on them, and then she took a white turtleneck shirt and put a picture of goofey on it with the words "Im' doofey." Then she made the same outfit for the son when he was a baby but the shirt said "I'm doofey's baby brother." That Robin is such a creative person. I must have been asleep when that gene was being handed out.

So back to my day. The daughter helped me finish the project in record time (it only took us all morning) otherwise I would still be working on it.
Bill came home early to meet the cable guy so the daughter and I headed out to pick up one more present for Uncle Brian. The daughter decided she was really hungry so she popped in Ido. I took over the driving so she could eat, cause she was REALLY HUNGRY. Then she asked me if there happen to be an extra fork in the car. Seems she was in a bit of a hurry and forgot to grab cutlery. Now why would there be a fork in the car? She went fishing around, and sure enough she found one, dirty, but a fork. So she waited until we got to the soccer dome, and washes the fork so she could eat her noodles. I guess we have the son to thank for leaving a fork in the car.

BODY: Had a short nap tonight while Bill and the son watched a movie. "UP". I really wanted to see it, but a slight headache convinced me to rest my eyes a bit.

MIND: "Beauty has a healing power all its own." Isn't that the true. I know when I get my nails done, somehow I feel a sense of elegance.

Way past my bedtime tonight.
Night
