Day 133 - 232 Days to Go

Three more sleeps. I think I'm actually getting a little excited.
Got alot accomplished today. Most everything on my list was taken care of and more. Dropped the son off at soccer; then popped into Shoppers Drug Mart. Mom needed some vitamins with iron. There is way to much selection when it comes to vitamins. Which only goes to prove we should eat healthier and then wouldn't need vitamins.
Then I dropped into XXXXXX to return the XXXXXX I bought yesterday. Thank goodness they credited my credit card and not just a store credit. Then it was on to Northland Mall. I had to pop into Future shop to look for Ben's gift. But of course in order to get to Future shop I had to go through Home Outfitters. Well, I came out of there with a new rug to go by our bed (so Maya doesn't slip when she jumps off and on the bed) and a new comfortor. I couldn't resist the good deal. Now to sneak it on and wonder if Bill will even notice. Job for tomorrow. A few more items and it was time to head home. I tried to have a quick nap, but that's really hard to do when the daughter is home. She was trying to bake cookies and had a million and one questions. Finally got up and put some stuff away. But at 1:30 it was time to take her to get her hair done. We made a quick pit stop to the Agape Hospice. Dropped off a nice basket for the Dr and staff there. The entire group was so good to Mom. They have a very difficult job and they do it beautifully.
So circled the city and headed back to the soccer dome. Yup the son was still there. And I wonder why I'm not getting anything done at home!!!!! Thank goodness Bill was able to pick up the daughter on his way home. I was pretty sure I didn't have to go out again. WRONG! I forgot I promise the son he could go to a movie tonight. K, that was the last time I had to go out.
That was my day in a nut shell. Nothing exciting, nothing notable, but everything!

So as I sit and wait for the children to get home, I felt inspired to make up a poem. The words are made up but the tune is to Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Twas three days before Christmas
And I’ve finally won
No more shopping, or wrapping
I’m basically done

All of the people
On our shopping list
Have been ticked, crossed or scratched
Hope no one was missed.

The new tree’s amazing
With the colorful lights
We went fibre optics this year
No light stringing fights

Both kids will be home
Christmas eve Christmas day
But soon after that
One's well on her way.

Bahamas she’s heading
It’s a course she must take
Or so she does tell us
Any excuse she can make

The son’s playing soccer
Now that’s a surprise
Four games in two days
It’s the truth, not a lie.
So now is the time
To sit back and relax
Cause just after Christmas
We’ll think income tax.

May this poem find you happy
Full of good cheer and delight
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night!!!

BODY: Over 10,000 steps today. And I didn't even put my pedometer on until after 8:00 am

MIND: Obviously my mind is in creative mode. I find it very relaxing and fullfilling when I make up poems. Must take after my mom's grandfather "Grandpa Sandy"

And to all a good night!
STacey
