Day 139 - 226 Days to Go

I'm sorry son, I'm sorry son, I'm sorry son, I'm sorry son, I'm sorry son

I'm pretty sure the son doesn't read my blog, but I did actually give these sorry's in person.

Thank goodnes (or not) for technology. It all started, when around 5:00 pm I telephoned the son and he didn't answer his cell phone. Then I sent him a text and he didn't respond. So I tried his cell phone again and he finally answered it. I asked him what time he was coming home and he said he sent me a text earlier in the day and it said he'd be home around 6:00. I told him he didn't sent me any text and we were actually talking on the phone earlier but he didn't give me a time. We argued back and forth a couple of times, and I said it didn't matter, just wanted to know when he was coming home. Well he got home around 5:30 and we had the discussion again. I was adamant that we had talked on the phone.

My story happened like this: Bill and I were in Lazy-Boy furniture; my cell phone rang; it was the son; he said he was meeting his friend at the mall; I asked which mall; he said Market Mall; I said, Oh too bad cause Dad and I were at Northland Mall. i asked how he was getting there; he said by bus and he was already at Dalhouse station. He said he see us later. HANG UP

The Son's Story happened like this: He texted me to tell me he was going to the mall with his friend and he'd be home at 6:00. I phoned him on his cell; I asked which mall; he said Market Mall; I said, Oh too bad cause Dad and I were at Northland Mall. i asked how he was getting there; he said by bus and he was already at Dalhouse station. He said he see us later. HANG UP

We went to both our cell phone details to confirm things. The cell phone confirmed the son's story, but I was still adamant it happened my way, and there must be something wrong with the phone system. Then all of a sudden, the blur started to disapate.....maybe he was right. My phone did ring, but was it the text ring? Hmmmm. Still not convinced........ but maybe I did phone him. Based on the evidence, I believe it must have happened his way, but I swear I have no recollection of the string of events. Hence, my next subject!!!

Despite the drama from this afternoon, the day went on. We were invited over to some friends for dinner. The Sura's put on a terrific meal. French, with all the courses. What wonderful food, great company, and so much fun. We even sang Christmas carols after dinner. There was musical instrucments for everyone; guitar, organ, piano, drums, saxaphone, bells, tamporine, maroco's. I hope we won't take so much time to get together for the next time.

BODY: Over 13,000 steps today. Probably from running errands in the afternoon.

MIND: Louise Hay "I let go of all expectations." And what a wonderful night it turned out to be!!!!
