Good Friday - Really gives a meaning to the saying TGIF!!
Bill had the day of work, so it was a pretty lazy day around our house.
The son had a soccer practice/tryout/coach introduction/ etc this morning. It was a nice morning, but just enough of a chilly breeze to make me pull out the sleeping bag. Two hours later we headed for a bite to eat with soccer people. I was surprised how busy the restaraunt was for a friday. We headed home and the son and I got in a couple of episodes of Lost in. I fell asleep during the second episode (I had warned the son it might happen). I guess I missed the live burial of a couple of secondary characters. I gotta say, I was a little annoyed at Kate for butting in on Jack and his new life! She better make up her mind who she really wants!
By the time I woke up, the son was replaced by Bill, and he was wondering what we should have for supper. I guess I was more tired than I thought. Tacos is was, for Bill. The son and I were still full from lunch.
It was still nice enough after supper, that Bill and I went out to change the tires on my car. Note to everyone. I know it is still going to snow, but I don't think it will last long enough to warrant leaving the snow tires on any longer. That is my disclaimer so when it does snow, I won't get the blame. The son came out to help/learn the process. Bill was letting the son do most of the work, until about the last tire; than the son and I started chit chatting and Bill lost patience with us and took over. I forgot to mention that little detail to the son - work first, talk later. A job well done by all. Because it was a learning curve for the son, we didn't time ourselves. Bill and I can usually get the job done in 30 minutes with just the two of us.
Received a phone call from the daughter today. Apparently it is 20 degrees in Toronto. She had gone to a DJ concert (a rave I guess) the night before. And her and Ryan Hope were staying with a friend of Ryan's. By the sound of her facebook page, they were going to stay a little longer in Toronto and check out a Roughnecks game. I did warn her that one day it would be warmer here than down East.
So everyone is watching a movie now (except me because it is a scary one) Not sure what else I should get into. Don't want to iron, or hem. Maybe I'll just grab a good book and go relax in the zen room.
Was thinking about our 25th anniversary coming up. Just realized that March 1st would have been Bill's mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. That means, when we got married, they had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. So when we got married, they were at the same point in their marriage that we are now. I know it's confusing, yet very interesting. I like all those little consistancies.
On a sad note, John Forsythe passed away. I can't believe he was 92. For those of us old enough to remember he will always be Blake Carrington on Dynasty, and the voice of Charlie on Charlie's Angels.
BODY: Hmm, tough one today, I guess sleep would be the best thing I did for my body today. I still have time to get another 2000 steps in to get me up to my 10,000. I guess that's how I'll spend my time.
MIND: Louise Hay "I relax and rejoice in the abundance that is here now."
Good night
Stacey
